Can't quite afford a trip to the dentist at the moment. Or hell, even to get some crazy OTC something or other. SO! Any thoughts or ideas on stopping tooth pain that could be, well, found around one's house?
The lower right side of my mouth thanks you in advance.
There's a toothpaste we get in the UK called Sensodyne that’s supposed to reduce pain from sensitive teeth. Might be worth looking into or an equivalent from were your from.
Sensodyne is great (we get it in the US too) for receding gums. You can get it at any pharmacutical giant or grocery store, like CVS or Giant.

I don't think I could take a class without sparring. That would be like a class without techniques. Sparring has value not only as an important (necessary) step in applying your techniques to fighting, but also because it provides a rush and feeling of elation, confidence, and joyful exhaustion that can only be matched by ... oh shit, I am describing sex again. I've found that drinking a very cold glass of milk helps take away most of my tooth pain, more so if you let the cold milk sit on the tooth for an extra couple of seconds before swallowing

That could be very painful depending on the cause of the ache.
Yes, you NEED to see a dentist. This is only going to get worse, and if you don't get it now, a $100 optional expense is going to turn into a $500 necessary one soon.
I'm currently getting some work done because I was in a similar situation as yourself. Don't toy with the money idea. I said the same thing before when I really meant that I couldn't afford the PAIN. However, there's like no pain anymore. I've had a root canal and a couple of yanked out wisdom teeth and I didn't feel more than the prick of the needle.

I can sympathize on not being able to afford the dentist trips.

Typically, by the time you're feeling pain, something is very wrong, and the longer you wait, the worse and more expensive it's going to be.
Seriously, get it checked out.
