I'd say getting to 350 is pretty fuckin' dedicated.
And expensive!
Yeah, but then 375 still offers no improvement over 350, really. And I imagine the people who got to 375 (I'm not one of them) would not consider getting to 350 very dedicated.
This is correct.
The only practical plan for leveling 365-370 requires Hardened Adamantite Tubes and is a yellow skill
- Blind is now a physical (no longer a poison) attack. Reagent
requirement removed. Now shares the same diminish category as Cyclone
and is now diminished in PvE as well as PvP.
Damn, now I can't stoneform out of it anymore.
- Pursuit of Justice (Retribution) is now 3 ranks and increases
movement speed by 5/10/15% and also reduces the chance you'll be hit
by spells by 1/2/3%.
Wow those will be some speedey ret pallies, gotta give em some ability to stay in melee range I suppose.
- Wyvern Sting (Survival) is now instant cast and has a maximum
duration of 10 seconds in PvP.
Yes! I play survival just for kicks, and in PvP no one expects the hunter to put them to sleep from 40 yards out.

Eh. Fair enough. Just means I need to spend more (hundreds) gold

So wait. 2.3 PTR's out? Then why does the site download 2.2.3?
And what the hell is wrong with them? 2k gold for a goddamned mount. I may have alot of throwing around money, but I'm not crazy. Jesus.
I'll probably never put in the effort to get a drake or ray. 2k gold is a lot easier to come by, without repeating quests for weeks on end.
Wha? The method by which you should be getting the gold is daily quests, supplemented with whatever else. Ogri'la quests are easy enough, but Skyguard? That's right about Shattrath, and takes all of 5 minutes, and I think you can reach exalted in a month or a month and a half.
Meh, I've gotta farm up 5k gold anyway to pick up 300 riding, what's a couple thousand more after that?
A couple thousand less you'd need to get another character their epic riding skill?
I've got all my characters their base flying skill, and my rogue and druid each have their epic skill. I've decided that I'm going to save up enough to get my Shaman her regular flying skill (last character to 70 until deathknights) and then I'm just going to save up cash like a squirrel prepping for winter.

First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
Wow I cannot believe all those T5/6-quality things are on the FUCKING HEROIC BADGE VENDOR and not in Zul'Aman. Grats everyone on the welfare epix and making us all grind heroics to raid.
I haven't had a chance to browse the new stuff, but that makes me happy I have a good 75 or so badges saved up. Though I wish I hadn't bothered buying the gloves early on. How was I to know that Blizzard (who gave us World of Resistancecraft) would put Resistance gear out... and then not include fights that actually require it?
That said, getting into many heroic groups is a giant pain in the dick at times, but hopefully as the gear and average understanding of the instances goes up, this'll become less of a problem.
Or I'll just whore myself out on the realm forums. Hopefully my armoury will speak for itself. Failing that; SWStats postings.

The ZA and Kara bosses will drop badges now so I assume Blizzard's logic is that people will at least be rewarded for running those over and over even if the RNG fucks them up with boss drops. Which is nice, but like... it's like arena gear, to me. You shouldn't be able to get amazing loot by running heroic Slave Pens or the first half of Karazhan over and over. They should be on some separate vendor inside ZA, so you at least have to be capable of doing some more difficult content to earn the more powerful rewards. (And those PVP cloaks/trinkets should be bought with arena points or honor, what the hell.)
But yeah the resist gear on the heroic vendor is weird.
Oh believe me, I haven't forgotten the glory that are badges from Karazhan (probably won't matter much to my rogue, but my alts will love 'em), but ZA's drops will hold appeal.
I guess this gives me a second reason to hope I get into the raid guild I'm app'ing to; as a man currently without a crew/home, I'd really prefer not to PuG that place.
As much as I agree that such mudflation can be lame (if it's as bad as you state), you have to agree that this is likely a means of intentionally helping people over the humps in T5 content, because the T6 stuff is still pretty shockingly unpopulated, according to WoWJutsu.

Meh, not everyone can raid, if I were to come back, I certainly wouldn't, and this gives new reasons to run 5 mans. 5 mans which are(insanely) outnumbered by raids now.
Yeah but that's sort of my point. People who are like stuck on Mag or Vashj or Al'ar or Kael or whatever, I don't think it's because of a huge gear gap. The fights people get stuck on are coordination fights. But they're going to feel pressured to grind out heroic badges for better gear to make the fights easier, whereas if Blizzard really intends for this to help those people they could just nerf the bosses even more. Kael is getting a nerf but I think he's the only one, at least as far as the patch notes say.
The part of me that has some small faith in humanity says that perhaps by encouraging more grouping (5 and 10 man) on the heroic and small raid scale, perhaps it will inspire people to be better at what they do, as well as gearing up slowly, thus making them better all around at what they do.
The part of me that can't count how many times some fuckwit screwed up Magtheridon's cubes figures that where skill and coordination fail, raw gear advantage will surely succeed! Or not! Thanks Blizzard!

I think the crucial thing is less "people who run Tier-5 25-mans regularly and are stuck on one particular fight" and more "people who aren't running 25-mans and have all of the gear accessible through heroics and 10-mans now". Surely those people deserve to have some upgrades available to them?
For everyone else, if they only care about gear, they should look at what upgrade path gives them what they need for the least amount of time... for many, that'll mean keeping on with 25-mans, for some it'll mean Zul'Aman.

And yes ahahahah that shit is so ugly. However. It looks like it should drop in Zul'Aman, doesn't it? I remain confused.
Maybe this armor is meant to camoflage us for when we go in to fight Scourge in WotLK. Although, I can imagine the walrus guys being a bit antsy seeing this walking up to them.

Well, when I went to sleep, people still couldn't get transfers through so no one could see the badge vendors to be sure, they were just mining for items with lootlink or whatever. But since the first boss of ZA is dead the transfers must have gone through overnight. So unless there was some huge fuck-up with item placement those are indeed vendor things..... Maybe they designed the stuff for ZA and then changed their minds halfway through about how it would be obtained. :P
Imagine the one on the right side charging up to you in battle. Fearsome battle gnome!
It is made of the stuff that nightmares are made of.
Also; rogue armour please!
Edit: wait, that's the armour available from badges? That's NOT the ZA gear?
Yup, that's the badge armor. People standing next to the badge vendor in Shattrath, linking all that, and the icons on the badge vendor armor match the graphics of the armor. Luckily, I only need the chest and leggings (tabard covers it anyway).

Mags is getting a co-ordination nerf, I think.. nether exhaustion supposedly won't kick in until after the fat bastard is actually banished... so you could mis-click and still get the job done.
Patch 2.3. Guild banks. The notes say the "tabs" are purchasable. May I ask what their idea of purchasable is? Are we talking 25-50 gold purchasable? 100-500 gold? Epic mount gold?
