Has anyone tried to
Save his kid from the Scarlet Crusade while at level 70? Shouldn't be that hard with a full group of level 70's... I wonder if that breaks the quest, though.
Also, I hadn't realized the official Armory was so comprehensive. I've been picking up green Alchemy recipes all across Azeroth because it's so easy to look up the wheres and hows by cross-referencing it with wowwiki.

Try WoWHead. Armory is a lot better than it used to be, but still not quite as good.
I enjoyed the Halo books. The first, third and Fourth were enjoyable, and the second was okay as far as game novelizations go. But I grew up with the novelized version of Master Blaster, so my nostalgia and tatse may be suspect.

The name changing sounds good. I was gonna make a new main and I always like to let my main have the same name I use in most games with a custom character. So woot Blizz.

I don't know what happens here, but I assume that its the kind of quest where his kid basically gets killed by the Scarlet Crusade in some sort of scripted battle where they have overwhelmining numbers, and you can't save him?
Because if so, breaking that quest would be SO satisfying.

Anyone else on Dath'Remar a Hordeside 70 and hasn't done that quest?

At lvl 59 I finally found an upgrade for [Abomination Skin Leggings] which I got at lvl 21 on my mage!
Also damn Hellfire Peninsula was hard at lvl 58 in crap gear. My first two chars through TBC was in Tier 2, so lvl 58 with 2k stam and 225 fire damage was a rude awakening. But at lvl 59 with green quest rewards it's all good.
Anyone know if the aldor/scryer shoulder enchants are still doable through the trade window? Me and another guildie seem to remember that happening, but I don't want to ask anyone to spend their dust/spend my money if it won't work.

I think it amongst other exploits involved with those enchants have been fixed.
edit: To test it you could always provide the person who is doing it with the Fel Armaments/Arcane Tomes.
I had the belt of Argul on my warlock from 23? till 54 the cape of the brotherhood on my night elf rogue from 19 till 53.
I had that blue dagger you get from ghostland's quests on my blood elf rogue from 18 till 35.
It's not really the purpos of why I kept certain items for several levels it's just that I have not found anything better or the ah is either over priced or nothing on it in the case of the horde of Windrunner's

Waves of 55-60s coming in to kill the kid, and you just stand there...Frost Nova, stops them in place, and just unleash a hellstorm of icy devastation.

Are we even thinking of the same event here? The 'kid' is a friggin' badass of badassery, ripping apart everything in his path until he meets up with a powerful Scarlet guy who offs him, which you can't stop, then Tirion comes in and busts some heads. At least thats how I recall it.

As I've said before, I've been on a break from the game for about 6 months, so forgive me for asking this question: When did they add crews to the boats in Azeroth? That seems like a nice touch, especially since there are vendors on them too. Actually, I don't even know if they're in the game yet since I've only run around Azeroth on the test server, but I'm going to assume they were added in a previous patch.

Ah, well, I guess it is coming with 2.3 then. I can't foresee the crew actually being able to fight off enemy players or anything because the highest level NPC is around level 50. They also give each boat a name. The boat to Teldrassil has been changed from the standard boat to the type of ship that goes between Darkshore and the Exodar.

Which makes sense, since it's a Night Elf boat, and it's going to and from a Night Elf Town :P.
Well, basically the kid (60 elite) gets offed by a 63 elite, who's got two body guards (also elite), and a bunch of elite adds that show up... most people hide in the trees during the event, because otherwise, you're sure to get a beat-down by the adds. But I figure that the 63 elite and his guards and the adds wouldn't be a problem for a couple of 70s... I don't think a single 70 could pull it off. If I have some free time tomorrow, and can convince a couple of guildies to help, I will try it tomorrow, and report back. My druid just needs to get the picture from Strat Live.
As far as I recall. The inquisitor becomes immune if he drops below x% hp and just heals to full. You can't save the other guy, he just dies after a short while even if at full hp : (

It's probably an attempt to stop lowbies getting ganked while on the ships. Maybe the crew will aggro on an attacker, similarly to Gadgetzan etc? I know on my server there are always gankings onboard.
So why do they fix it now? Like wouldn't this have been useful when the ships were actually used often? How many sail on them these days, give 80% of people now probably stay in Outland or the capital cities for all their time. I didn't realise that world PVP was such a bad thing.
