I like to think I buy more than the average amount of items from the PA store, especially for an avid PA comic reader, but not as much as maybe some of the forum members. The Thinkgeek store was absolutely amazing in comparison to the Yahoo! Store. My fiancee and I both had several exceptional experiences with the Thinkgeek store.
The store has not impressed me since it's been moved to Yahoo! Particularly the last couple of orders that we placed. She purchased a gift certificate for me as a birthday present. One day passes (it says you will have it in 24 hours), a second day passes, and on the third day... (don't say it, hooligan!) I received the email with the gift certificate.
I placed my order using this gift certificate and my credit card (I went over the amount a bit) on Thursday, Sept. 27, after business hours. As of today there is still no tracking information.
Two business days is a LONG time to process and ship (or at least get tagged in a box assigned a tracking number) an order, in my opinion.
Maybe I'm bitted because I won't get to have an item I ordered before I take off on vacation (you can imagine a hoodie is not very useful for most of the year in Texas), but I've thought about it as rationally as possible and have decided that the new store just does not provide the level of service or customer care that the Thinkgeek store did.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? Am I right? Am I way off base?

Or just post here to complain?
Because we have a lot to do with order fulfillment, you know.
But I guess that's just me.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Some shirts of theirs and others like them make me crack a smile when I first see them but I would never wear them.
dikbut
If not it's not worth reading.
It's like watching a seal with down syndrome try to be a hell's angel.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
awwwww
Yes, I did. As did my fiancee when the gift certificate was more than a day past processing time. She received a response to that email on the third day, the same day I received the gift certificate.
If you read my email, it's simply stating an observation, and then asking an opinion of people that may (or may not by some of the replies) have ever ordered from your store. There's no reason to be defensive unless my observation may be correct.
I know, they're clever.
But I too, also would not wear them.
Mostly because my friends would look at me weird and give me shit for being a nerd.
You are going about it all wrong.
Munkus, man, what?
Did you just pull a family guy joke?
Oh my god, I just got it.
Disregard this.
Although you'd think I could just hit the back button and not submit this, but I can't.
Cause I'm stubborn like that.
knead a kneed a need.

you usually get better profit margins by offering better customer service. not worse
I'll concede that. Perhaps my expectations for the physical items are a little off, but the expectations for the gift certificate were explicitly set by the store itself.
Clearly you are not familiar with where you maek poast.
or does he

So it took 3 days for you to get it?
That seems reasonable.
I don't get what you're complaining about?
Maybe your fiance is cheating on you.
I was going to make this exact post but I'm too fucking lazy.
Not too lazy point out that fact, however.
the books I can get at my local store
basically I do not order penny arcade merchandise online
and if I did there'd be a limit to how many penny arcade shirts I would want
I mean, one's enough, right
Are you doing that cartoon character thing, where you have a closet full of just one outfit? Because that might explain that.
fiance = male
fiancee = female

After 24 hours you're supposed to call the number on the back of the bottle dude.
They fucked on the boat.
