Log Me in Automatically After Each Visit

Every time I leave the forum and come back I have to log back in despite choosing to be automatically logged back in.

Ho hum.

    make sure you are going to http://www.penny-arcade.com , and not just http://penny-arcade.com

    Yeah, that's what's wrong and always has been wrong. The cookie is for www.penny-arcade.com, not for penny-arcade.com. Update your bookmarks.

    I couldn't care less. How about you just go ahead and correct the bookmark and when that solves the problem you stop complaining about how it worked yesterday?

    Because it's not working. It's not the cookies or the URL. These fixes aren't working.

    I just posted here with the suspicion that it's a bug. I'm not here to complain or to make you care.

    Can you point out in that reply where you said that after updating your bookmark, ensuring that your browser settings allow you to store cookies, and testing from scratch by logging out, clearing cookies, and logging in with the box checked, and then closing and re-opening the browser the issue persisted?

    How about you start by providing some pertinent information, like your browser and it's version number, your current settings, and any programs you've got running in the tray?

    ....I was just suggesting that the URL wasn't the problem. I came to that conclusion after doing your fixes. That's all.

    Although I can just click on Log in to Check New Messages and it'll automatically log me on.

    That feature of the forums was working like four hours ago for me at home. I can't check that now, but I suspect this is an issue on your end.

    It's always done this for me, and I use www. and not just penny-arcade.com.

    I've had this problem from fresh REFORMATS.

    Like Dork said, clicking the 'Check your messages' things logs me right in.

    I'm experiencing the same cookie problem. Same result on two different browsers, with cookies deleted, and with all combinations of logging in/out and browser closing that I could conjure.

    I'm using http://www.penny-arcade.com/forums .

    Sometimes it lets me log in, but usually it says the account is not active or something. Once logged in, it doesn't stay logged in for long.

    The time it took me to write this post might have been too long. Let's see...
