So I've got this laptop I was required to buy by my previous university. I have since transferred and now find myself in possession of an expensive computer that I barely ever use. So I'd like to sell it. I plan to format it with the original Apple disc, etc, but the screen has accrued quite some wear. It's not filled with scratches or anything, but from carrying it around you can definitely see a few scuffs. Is there some sort of cleaning solution I can use to get the thing nice and clean?
And for the selling, would eBay work just fine and dandy?
Is it the glossy or matte screen? There are specialized cleaners you can buy for the screens, check any office supply store. I can't recall the name off the top of my head.
Also, I'm in the market for a MacBook Pro. What are the specs?
It's a matte screen. It's also a 1.83 Core 2 Duo with 1.5 GB of ram. 15" screen. Applecare warranty and such too. It works perfectly in every regard and has all the stuff that came with it, I just gotta run that Apple format disc and clean the screen. I'd love to sell it to a PAer, though I know that strictly that's not supposed to be the way you do it, but throw me a PM if you're interested.
I'll check an office supply store though. Is there any like, special Mac screen cleaning stuff, or is it all generic?
If anyone wants to discuss purchasing SniperGuy's laptop they are to do it via PM, not in this thread. Understand that it will be an exchange that exists purely between yourself and sniperguy and that the forums and Penny Arcade aren't part of it, nor will they get involved at any point, in any way.
This is a thread about how to prep a MacBook Pro for sale. Not a thread for selling one in.
