Motherboard/CPU FSB possible conflicts?

I'm buying a new PC, and its been a long time since my days of religiously reading PC Powerplay and learning everything I could about PC hardware so...help me forumers!

I want a PC which I can actually upgrade in the future...and my specific question relates to FSB. If I have a CPU with a 1066mhz FSB, and I buy a motherboard with a 1333mhz FSB, are there any conflicts? And would that motherboard then later allow me to upgrade to a 1333mhz CPU if I wished?

Well, the last system I bought featured a motherboard that supported up to 800Mhz FSB and a CPU with a 533Mhz FSB and the system worked with no problems. I imagine it would be the same for today's CPUs and motherboards but if I were you I would have a look at your potential new motherboard's website to see if they have a list of supported CPUs for the motherboard in question, just to be sure.

Its cool, I got an answer from a tech minded friend. Apparently it will just allow for me to upgrade to a 1333mhz FSB CPU in future without needing a new motherboard.
