Different "posting" styles?

I was wondering if you guys who frequent other forums have radically different posting styles from forum to forum (I mean totally different sites, not just different forums in PA). Personally I frequent a forum that does not allow swearing and so I pretty much have 2 polar opposite posting styles.

I run a forum that doesn't allow swearing.
It's not a ridiculous thing, there's a lot of corporate run and family-oriented sites out there. I think people here believe because they exist in the cesspool of the internet, the whole thing is like that.

Maybe both but for the mod forum you rotate them 180 degrees.
A few years back I read an article in New Scientist about a guy (or a team of guys, possibly with one or more females) who discovered that you can use a compression algorithm essentially identical to the one WinZip uses to determine if different texts were written by the same person. Because in compresses chunks of similar strings of data down more efficiently, if you take a sample of a large number of known pieces of text all of the same length and compress each one they will all end up a pretty much the same file size. You can then use this data to compare an unknown piece of text via the same method. If it compresses to the same file size, it's a high probability it was written by the same author.
I think they demonstrated it with a piece that was rumored to have been written by Shakespeare.
