Pity Ireland sucks for flying into America and also none of my friends would have any interest in this :(

We're flying to Chicago from Manchester, then on to Seattle, same return journey. I nearly booked us to fly from Manchester to Amsterdam, then to Seattle, but couldn't stand the stress of holding LewieP back from the brown cafes. I've booked through lastminute - they were £40 each cheaper than anyone else for the same BMI flights.

Yeah I was booking through lastminute and was getting in and around the €800 which isn't too bad for a return with 2 stop offs.

All told, it will be about £1300 for us, plus whatever we spend when we get there, but hey, it looks like great fun, and I've always wanted to go to Seattle, and I've told my boss I'll go and visit the Incredible Years people as well - they're based in Seattle- and bring some stuff back for work.

Not quite sure about the amounts of alcohol I can handle though, I'm pretty lightweight when it comes to drinking. Chocolate, though, a totally different matter.

Yup €799 with a stop off in London Heathrow both ways. I'm hopefully going to convince a friend to come along because I'm going to be hopefully working a fulltime position by then and it won't be such a big chunk of change!

Spending any time in O'Hare, or just a direct-connect? I guess you'll go through customs here in Chitown?

If you haven't heard, we (US, not just Chicago) apparently hate/fear laptops, so you may have to open yours up. We also don't know what an Macbook Air is, despite the non-stop commericals.

Just a layover - we're in the airport for an hour and a half before we fly to Seattle, hope its a better airport than Newark. Don't think I'll be bringing my laptop - its old and heavy, and the speed I'm managing to play games, I don't think anyone would want to play with me, unless there's an area for slow noobs!

slacktron - Something else is coming your way.

It's not that rare, but some may be willing to duel for it
You will not be getting a tube

Golly, this sounds like a riddle.

When faced with a riddle, I always think of this:

"Here, then, is the riddle. Don't strain your head; no one's ever gotten it
right." You hear a growling snarl from somewhere nearby.
    "Some say I'm pointless,
yet many are obsessed by me.
    I have caused heroic gambles
    and sown endless frustration.
    Uncounted deaths have I caused.
    What am I?"
Trent steps briskly forward. "That's easy!" he yells. "A grapefruit!"

    So... is it a grapefruit?

Well! MichaelLC's last Easter Egg arrived and I must say he saved the best for last. I'm astounded! It's a better holiday gift than I would buy for myself.

That is to say, it was neither grapefruit nor grue. I don't get what the tube reference was in the riddle, but the tesla devices, three, and something worth dueling over make perfect sense.

I'm leaving town right now and can't give this the proper photo treatment, but I'll be back Wednesday and will post at that time.

Any other readers care to take a guess as to what it is?
