Hi,

So i figured it was about time to do a RAM upgrade on my computer (imminent release of Hellgate: London). I am currently running a Conroe E6700 with 1gb of ram (2x 512mb 800mhz). I cant decide which of the following would be better for me, im not well versed in FSB, multipliers etc.

Option 1: Additional 4gb of ram (2x 2gb at 800mhz) for 5 gb total.

or

Option 2: Replace with 2gb (2x 1gb at 1066mhz) for 2gb total.

Both would cost about the same price. I primarily use windows XP which does not need the additional ram, but when i game i have to use Vista (ugg) for DX10.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you don't have a 64bit version of the OS then going over ~3gb is a waste of money. In which case 2x1gb and 2x512mb will do fine.

4gb and above is really only useful for dev machines anyways.
