Is it a new one or still the same?
New one. It's a revolving door or little German girls. I dunno where you guys get them all from.

I dunno how I'd feel if I could be replaced by a little foreign girl.

Is this a colloquialism? Because the latter half doesn’t make sense to me.

It really doesn't, but that's the way it is. It's normally used to reinforce a sentence.
Like when a German is surprised or somewhat puzzled by a discovery just made you'll hear something like "Sowas aber auch".

Edit: That shut you all up, huh? :(

Oh? You live around there? Awesome.

Thank god this test doesn't have any cases I need to study. We've just barely studied Accusative. I love the complexity of the language partially because I get to snicker at all the O_o coming from the rest of the class that seems lost.

Just back from my German class. We kinda go at hyper-speed and aren't too worried about "where is the town hall" and all that crap. The idea is to get us able to read academic journals in German by the end of two terms. (The joy of being a Classicist - the Germans are really good at it).

Yea, I'm just in first year German and its a full year course. I figure if its anything like French, 2nd year German will be far more complex and conversation/reading oriented.

t LaOs no, we're still on-target for Seattle but I'm sloughing through a lot of logistics problems now. I haven't been able to get in on a room anywhere (8 rejections so far olol), the job search is coming up similarly empty-handed, and I'm realizing that $3000 is not a lot of money to start a new permanent installment on, nor is that a very easy task when completely alone.

I mean, I'll move into an empty room with two suitcases of six year old warm-weather clothes and nothing else with no idea how to manage. It's scary. There's a huge difference between the drifter lifestyle and the settled lifestyle, and it's the latter I've never lived. :|
