An opportunity for righteous fury...wasted. (ITT we bitch about old bosses)

Ugh.

My old boss just stopped by my office out of the blue today to say hi. He caught me so much by surprise that I couldn't think of any of the thousands of things I had to say to him. I just sat there and talked for a few minutes and then he left.

Of course, now that he's gone I can remember all the things that made me hate him. Having to clean up his mess that he left behind. Having to rebuild a department that he let fall apart. He couldn't manage a good dump, let alone the department, and talking to him was like talking to your desk lamp. It wasn't going to do anything, and you'd just feel dumb afterwards.

I feel like I just got raped. Jesus Christ.

Fuck the Staples "Easy Button". I need a Stale "Asshole Button".

*click*

"You have 3 seconds... exactly three fucking seconds, to turn around, and get the fuck out of my office before I tear out your heart and feed it to you."

so. shitty bosses. go!

I was fixing a printer next to his machine, and it took like 3 seconds 'cause he's too dumb to figure out a paper jam.

He smacked the button and went on doing whatever he was doing.

    I wanted to punch him.

years ago I used to manage a computer store.

Not new computers mind you. Ohh no.

Used ones. Off corporate lease. This scumbag bought them by the pallet, cleaned em up a touch, installed a pirated version of 98SE, and sold them to stupid college students and elderly idiots.

and I was his front man.

It was like selling poison to pre-schoolers. I hated that cheap fuck and took every opportunity to fuck him over and help out the people he was basiclly stealing from. Such as doubling their ram or hard drives.... doign service for free.... anything.

Eventually my paycheck bounced, so I walked into the store, burned off a copy of every customers info into a excel sheet, locked the doors, and told the mall I wouldn't be back, left my keys with security.

I fowarded that disc, along with a letter to Microsoft outlining exactly how he pirated and sold 285 copies of 98SE. Don't know if anything ever happened, but that store never reopened.

Some people think getting others to do simple technical tasks and then belittling them because they've taken the time to figure out how things work is funny.

Some of us STILL don't trust XP.

Especially now that Vista is out, Microsoft has a giant timer that is ticking down till "NO MORE SUPPORT' day, where giant man-orgies will be had as customers weep in fear and despair.

Of the many questionable things that Microsoft and companies of their size do, eventually reaching a point where they can no longer support their outdated technologies isn't really that big of a deal to me.

Or a Linux nerd. I'm not a fan of Vista either (it came with my new laptop) but it really won't improve that much until less attention is diverted through the support of their old operating systems. No company can be expected to support their products forever and XP is going on its 7th year.

I still use 2000; never liked the "Candy Land" look of XP. And as for Vista, I loathe it for purposefully consuming system resources to make itself look pretty.

Id be a Linux nerd if every memory of its use didn't cause me to scream out in agony. But yeah, really wanting to switch to a free OS sometime.
