The only nit-pick I have is the "2008 name" on every page. It's a bit big and distracting especially when thrown in the middle of the layout like that last page.
Other than that, you're stuff creeps me out ... and that, I hope, is a good thing.
Hey, Quoth, thanks. Good point, Narkissa would probably not use a word like "gonna", I´m gonna have to take a look into that.
Thank you as well, mr0range. I only do the "2008 name" thing because I haven´t mastered the watermark thing yet...
LOL
Yeah, in this case, creeping out is a good thing.
After all, most of the characters in this comic aren´t really very good people. ^_^
Sorry, but no... maybe it´s the summer, brain has started to melt...
I only go by "Sunset" over at S.H.F., Neoseeker, Anipike and Animeboards.
Elsewhere, I´m still good ole Eliseu or Zeu...
And now we´ve come to the part I´ve been really looking forward to:
Nadra prancing around in her new dress.
What, what, you thought I was gonna say:
"Nadra facing the full brunt of the Pendargrave Pride?"
I noticed that Nadra always calls people Simon, despite their gender and "real" name. I also noticed that when you introduced Nessa and Nazirah, whom Sethos called Nadra's sisters (nice use of the letter "N"), they called Sethos "Andy" and "Bart."
Number one, are Nessa and Nazirah additional "children of the tree" that were tortured by the Covenant in order to make them stop "singing?"
Number two, why do the children (if, indeed, that is what they are) call everyone by a singular name? Is it something to do with trauma or is it something you haven't made up yet?
Hey, Vero, thanks for your post and your questions, you´re the very first person to notice those details.
Nessa and Nazirah are indeed "childrens of the tree" like Nadra, captured by the Covenant and subjected to their conditioning. You´ll find a couple more of these children in the flashback scenne, as Sethos´forces storm the compound/lab.
I haven´t thought much about what that conditioning implies, but it´s designed to turn the subjects into the sort of mindless killing machines we´ve seen at the end of chapter#2, in the form of Sethos´four female bodyguards
I´ve been toying with the idea that "Simon" was part of that conditioning designed to dehumanise their targets by stripping people of their indivuality/name.
In Nadra´s case, the conditioning never took root completely since she is still very much aware of the uniqueness of everyone around her.
"Bart and Andy" is an undevelopped thread I left floating in the back of my head.
The basic idea behind it is that someone at the Convenant compound that exploded at the end of chapter#2 was bored 8-) and amused himself by assigning a different name to each of the re-programmed children:
I always look forward to sharing my creative process and receiving some input on ways to improve it.
Which brings us to....
Hey, Quid Squid, thank you for your post as well.
LOL
To tell the truth, I didn´t even think about it when I made that panel but now, after your post, I can´t help but look at it. :P
You´re right, it does look weird.
I´ll see if I can get myself some time to correct that... gonna be tough, though...
I´m itching to jump to the next page 4-5 (it´s a doublespread).

You've probably already mentioned this, but do you have a publisher for this? If not are you going to try and get it published?

i know it's a lot harder to fix something so small so i dont know if it's worth doing the page over again. pages look amazing though
Well, thank you anyway for the heads up, I´ll try to squeeze some tweaks into that bit when I have the time.
This doublespread took me longer than I had planned.
Don´t get me wrong, I loved doing the creature and Nadra is always a joy to draw, but the buildings were so bo-oh!-oh!-oh!-ring!
It´s always the little people that pays the bill.
Hmmm.... I love the way it looks. It's basically amazing, but what is she saying no about? The monster? The helicopters? The fact that people are trying to kill her?
I guess it's just vague.
I love the monster thing though. it should be a reoccurring character. Like, a pet horse or something.

Mmm I'm doing buildings at the moment, fantastically boring and such a bitch to keep your lines perpendicular.....the peaked windows on the left look great, the one window with the white reflected light is a great contrast to the rest.
Hey, guys, thank you so much for your posts and comments, I´m glad you liked that doublespread.
Vero - I put Nadra screaming because the apaches just blew up a section of a building while trying to get her, killing God knows how many people. She´s a very sensitive person, so that must´ve hurt her in many levels.
I don´t know if the monster thing will return, I have so many creatures jumping around in my head it´s hard to fit them all in the pages. ^_
Mustang -LOL Buildings ARE a pain to draw, aren´t they? ^_^
Cities are wonderful places to draw, with countless angles and compositions to be explored, but it can be SO tedious.....
The amount of effort and patience it takes to put a comic together and get it to the stage you have is absolutely marvelous, serious props Elisue! I have tried several times to start on a comic, and I don't even get the first panel done. The farthest I've gotten is a semi manga style with 10 pages sketched out. They are scanned but that's it. I honestly can't wait to see and read more! You handle cloth and the way it falls and flows very nice as well.

One day, one of them Pendargrave boys are gonna have to tell me what is their beef with wearing shirts. ^_^

I can hear you folks collectively calling me "- Chicken!" for dialing down on the gore factor...
My favorite detail on this page?
Check the face of the fairies on the 3rd panel. ^_^
Drat! My cover is blown!.
S.H.F., ´seeker or ´pike?

What, what, you thought I was gonna say:

Shame on you. ^_^
Can you guess which panel was totaly stolen from the "My Girl" movie? ^_^
(yes, I too was dragged to go see it...)
Someone read one Michael Strogoff story too many, growing up. ^_^
Him again...
What, you didn´t think I was gonna forget the very first person Nadra saved at the beginning of this story, did you? ^_^
Too bad I have NO idea of what I´m gonna do with him.
Any ideas?
Nah, I think the kid´s got potential for more, I just have to find the right angle for him. ^_^
Alx over at Silent Hill Forums asked for girls kissing (other girls). I wonder if this is what he had in mind... ^_^

Nah, no publisher and no publishing plans, this is just a guy having fun with his pencils after hours.
Hey, it was either this or finishing Fatal Frame 3... ^_^

There is no such thing as to many bugs. ^_^
I´ve been itching for the chance to to backhand slap someone since I started this webcomic!
Guess Tactical 7 picked the short straw. ^_^
Now you know where they had that metaphor thing stashed all this time. ^_^
I´m getting kinda tired of drawing Narkissa wearing Aeron´s clothes, though.
They´re like four times her size.
Love what you're doing here, I've been subscribed to your thread for a while now and it just gets better and better.
Thanks for spotting that one too, I´ve just corrected it and re-uploaded the page.
"We've lost all tactical teams!"
"Sh-She's a freak!"
{music starts in background as camera returns to Nadra looking back saucily}
AWWW SHE'S A BRICK... HOUSE...
Thanks, Devices, in actuality I was thinking more along the lines of "The girl´s a superfreak" 8-)
I told you guys I was gonna get her off those clothes, dinnae? ^_^
Nadra is having all the fun this chapter. I think it´s time we let Aeron join the festivities.
