    Seriously though, I doubt Forar's post on the PA forums claiming to have an e-mail from her will be any more credible than somebody coming into IRC to say that the bbs phone number was just some poor sap's phone.

    Maybe if he forwarded the e-mail, but even then. Just one random person's account I don't think would be evidence enough.

    Except for all the other crazy emails that people apparently received, which are really really really weird, and probably related to the ARG.

    So what are these rumors I'm hearing about Steam on OS X? I have All the HL games in addition to L4D, Portal, & TF2, and I'd really love to play the damn things, but Boot Camp, Crossover, and Parallels are all a pain in the ass.

    not to burst any bubbles (and i hadn't even heard of steam on mac)

    but i wouldn't necessarily equate steam on mac -> playing source engine games on mac

    two different beasts unless i'm making things more complicated in my head

    I would guess that if Valve were making a mac version of Steam, a large part of the reasoning behind it would be to sell their own games via it. Meaning they had made a mac port of source.

    Although I wouldn't want to play an FPS with only one mouse button...

    Still, I am largely baffled, that Apple haven't already made a way of selling games for OSX. Retail support for OSX games is pretty crap, and games tend to stay at full price forever. Surely they must like the amount of money they are getting from iPhone gaming.

    You really would think that with the success of the App store on the iPhone/iPod Touch they'd make something similar for OS X.

    And as far as one-button mice go that's not really an issue anymore. Besides I use one of these on my Mac:

    It wasn't too bad really

    Anyyyyway I don't think the Portal 2/Ep3 amalgamation theories are too far off the mark
