I don't know how much total I made because I listed all my stuff on the AH, proceeded to go do homework, and then I raided after I finished my homework, when I get home from school today I'll check the total amount I made.

So this is a Half Happy and Half Hate:

the Half Happy part is the part where I decided to Grind for a S1 helmet and a S1 Ranged weapon(crossbow). I start friday with 4k honor and need around 37k. Lucky for me there is an AV weekend. I make enough Honor per day that I didn't even grind yesterday(Wensday is maintance day in EU, gear is available today). Got my helmet(thinking of getting shoulders) and My Crossbow. Finally got a ranged weapon thats good enough for raiding. Yay!!

The Half Hate; Those that read this thread may remember that I swore a few weeks ago that I would have the Epic bow from the Steam Vaults. And that I in my arogance told people that I was no Punk-ass Quiter Bitch."Well, My name is Kipling217 and I am a Punk-Ass Quiter Bitch". I stand ready to accept your scorn an Ridicule, knowing full well that I brought it upon myself. "Lay it on me people! I got it comming!"

Unrelated happy; getting a workmate to explain to me how I should place my talents in my Shadowpriest for maximum dps. The difference is amazing, Pew, Pew, Pain, PAIN. And then heading to Dustwallow Marsh to lvl. No more Stranglethorne gankage for this guy.

Also, the PVP weapons are insane, so yes "Abloo, abloo, I have to pvp to pve" stands, in a manner of speaking, but even the armour is pretty damned good. Gem'd with a 24 AP ruby and a haste proc meta, the S3 helm seemed like a fine upgrade (or at least on par with benefits) to my T4 helm.

Lost 0.13% hit and like 24 AP to gain a whole assload of life, 0.93% crit and over 80 armour penetration (nearly putting me at 200 with my cloak), which seemed like a good trade to me. That said, my hit has dropped from 300 to just over 260, which while still a fine amount, is kind of annoying. The haste and armour penetration gained, however, are very nice indeed.

I was on a Ramparts run earlier this week on my wee shaman, when I realized "holy shit, it's going on midnight". We had a very painfully new warrior tanking, who was not prot spec (which I wouldn't expect him to be for levelling, but it doesn't help matters), and while the dps was good, it was moving slowly.

After getting my 10th blood for the quest, I was like "Screw this guys, brb, getting Rogue", at which point I essentially solo'd the rest of the instance. We took a good hour just getting up to the room with the first boss, and then probably finished the rest of the instance in like 20 minutes.

Solo'ing things 9-15 levels below you isn't too bad. It might be for frustrating as dagger spec, but at that point I'd probably just throw on a pair of swords and suck it up anyway. At that point, you're not just dps, you're the tank.

Right, all the trash would be easy, in fact, easier than sword builds because of stunlocks galore. Extra Adds and boss fights would be where Mutilate would completely blow. Spamming SS with a 1.6 speed dagger is not good times.

I solo'd most of strat on my Rogue the other day as Combat/Hemo, but just barely. Thank god for Prep/Blade Flurry, Evasion and AR, without those I could never have done it.

Yup. We've killed him three or four times now I think... The first week he wasn't bugged yet, and we wiped a few times before the tanks and mages worked out their shit, but the kill went easy as rumored. The next week, he wasn't bugged on our first attempt, when something dumb happened like a tank dying, and when we ran back to try again, he was bugged, and free epics. Since then he's been bugged straight off, those channelers have gotten lazy! Hence, Loot of Akama. That fight is mostly for melee to pop all their cooldowns and then brag all night... I have no cooldowns, but I lucked out and had the elemental shaman with drums of battle in my party. Oh the totems and haste!

The abloo bloo over PVP-to-PVE is running high on our Vent at the moment, almost entirely due to one hunter who doesn't actually like to PVP but forces himself to do it for the s3 crossbow. He refuses to wear PVP gear, so the teams he can manage to burst down in the first five seconds he can't stop gloating over, but failing that he just bitches about how hunters have no survivability. OH REALLY MR ZERO RESILIENCE IN SEASON 3?

Silver lining: Holy fuck it's been a great day to be a jewelcrafter. I had the worst luck with prospects the previous night, but it didn't matter because I just posted everything for 25-50% above what I normally would cost it and almost all of it sold by the time I was home from work. 75g Runed Living Rubies and Solid Elunes, sure. 30g Steady Talasites, no problem (the one cut literally every jewelcrafter has for a gem that often goes for well under 10g uncut). Eventually I got super greedy and posted some 95g runed living rubies from a later prospecting batch, but there does seem to be a line folks aren't willing to cross, even if uncut living rubies start at 75g right now.

I made about 800g last night, not counting any auctions I still left up when I went to bed. On my server, nothing went above 65g for rare gems, 5g for green gems. Our market was flooded with solid stars of elune, so I doubt mine sold, steady talasites went for 12-15g (market was also flooded, yet still sold well), runed living rubies/inscribed noble topazes was the one area that was in short supply. I think I sold a bright living ruby for 65g. Also, sitting & watching the trade channel - made a lot from cutting. Everyone needed powerful/relentless/bracing earthstorm diamonds.

I also sold a bunch of primal lifes & earths yesterday. Initially when I put my auctions (mid-afternoon), they were selling faster than I put things up. O.o

It is the mythical PUSH BUTTON: RECEIVE BACON machine.

Also I think people misunderstood what my intent even was when I wanted to go to Stratholme. I wanted to fuck shit up, not babysit low-level characters. I was alright at first with one or two other 70s coming because it was still going to be 'Ha! Watch as I crush the Baroness beneath my mighty solo fist!" and the rest of us just go olol walkin' past da trash

Even at level 56, there is trash that cons orange to you. And we had a 55, to boot. I understand their motivation for coming but I ended up feeling really guilty really fast that they came all this way and just kept dieing and there was nothing I could really do. When the one guy swapped onto his Warlock he literally did just chain pull the entire instance, including the bosses. I got to sit on my patoot, except for when I solo'd one of the ziggurats.

He yelled at me afterwards because he had bitten off more than he could chew and they all died. He asked why I wasn't there helping and I told him there wasn't really much I could do to stop thirty level 59 elites from killing him and the pair of lowbies. :|

I wanted to occupy myself with something new and slightly challenging. I had potions all ready to go and everything-- Major Shadow Protection and everything. I had grenades for Baron's skeletons! I probably still couldn't have done various parts of the end of the instance, but I wanted to die trying. I didn't want to babysit and then have my role trivialized by someone else who completely usurped the run. I stuck with it of course, because we were helping some folks out at that point, but it doesn't change the fact I wanted to do something and it ended up becoming something other than I wanted.

Also, I prefaced the anecdote with 'annoyed,' not 'super-pissed rawr' or anything like that. I had to put something there in order to post it in this thread, and putting 'happy' would have been a lie, and 'meh' is a touch too ambivalent for my tastes. :P

Added in the context of the other half of my reply, re: Shade of Akama being bugged for most people for weeks.

The way it's supposed to work is you're zerged by a bunch of adds for a few minutes and if you stay alive long enough to kill a few channeler dudes then the Shade of Akama fights Akama and you help and get easy loot. But recently he's been bugging out so there have been no adds, just the twenty-second burst DPS e-peen demonstration. So imagine the mind-set of a raid who's only experienced the bugged version, and one day he's not bugged...

Hate: Terrible PuGs, I know everyone does, but this one was tragic. So, I decide to go to BRD last night on my 53 Protadin (An okay level, I'd have some trouble tanking the later mobs, but I could deal with it).
Group make up ended up being:
    53 War
    54 War
    52 Paladin
    53 Hunter.

And I ended up healing, because I got there before the other Paladin, and I'm a sucker. The 53 war decides to tank, and charges into groups. Which I don't mind, I did it when I levelled, it's not safe, but, it's only BRD. Except, he's using a 2-hander. His HP Drops like a rock (These are the 5 pulls on the Thorium Highway or whatever it is). I have to spam Holy Light because if I don't he dies. So on the next pull, I tell him he's taking too much damage and to use a shield, and he keeps his 2-hander out, charges, and then uses deathwish, which I barely manage to keep him alive through. He then pulls while I'm drinking, he dies before I get to him, I run out and live. Long story short, I got two quests done in that little area, and when we wiped on the next boss I feigned a DC and did some group ABs on my hunter.

    Happy:

Hearing stories about BRD always brings a smile to my face. Of coarse, there is a nice story to go along with it as well.

Old, but Happy: Back when I just hit 60, I started doing quests for BRD. I was very excited because it was my first time in Blackrock Mountain and I was like, "Wow, this is the place that I have always seen from afar and contain super villians like Neferain and Ragnoras, it would be cool to see them one day."

So I start this nice little group with myself and a guild (old guild) paladin with the rest PuGs including a warlock named Sinsation. Now understand, I had no freaking clue how big the instance was. I just thought you would do the whole thing in one run like any other. Go in kill the bosses, complete the quests, profit. I had the marsall quest and the Magni quest. I also wanted to do both :D

We started with getting to Marshal Windsor by killing the key dude and then getting even more quests (including the ghost king quests lol) and decide to head to the Emporers chamber. At this point, we were in there for about five hours. We wiped a lot and also attuned everyone to Molten Core. We also switched out several party members except for the paladin and warlock.

We were determined to kill that damned Emporer however. My God that fight took a long time to finish, not because of the Emporer himself, but the room before him, with the infinte respawns and such. We probably spent about two hours on that part itself. But at least we killed him. I finished my quest for Magni's ring AND as a bonus, my pally friend got theIronfoe as a drop too.

Now by this point, you would think we would be done right? Seven hours in BRD and you would want to call it quits right? Wrong. Sinsation and I decided to stick it out and finish our Marshal Windson quest chain. We had no clue as to what pain we were in for. Cause we thought that having cleared that super-fucked-up-infinite room, Windsor must me easy right? Wrong.

After looking forever to fill out our group again, including Sin 'forcing' her husband to log onto his rogue named Baretheon, we started on trying to get to Windsor again to turn start the next phase of the chain. Of coarse, we did not clear the circle, because once again, we didn't know. And we had many a wipe before we realized that, "Hey, maybe we should clear this circle before we start the quest!" And it worked out great.....untill we realized the fucker walks TWO GOD DAMNED LOOPS. So more wiped untill we finally complete it.

In the end, Sinsation and I completed every quest in BRD in one run. We were also pretty impressed with each others performance so I was invited to her guild that later on, started me on my progression through ZG, MC, Ony, BWL, and AQ20. Sinsation and Baretheon and I became great friends with my wife, and we all still play to this day. The only real negative thing that came from this was the break up of my old guild when I left (another story) and the fact that I have never seen the Emporer again. EVER.

Happiest moment in my entire WoW career: I'm out in Skettis, trying to get my Daily done before my guild PvP group re-queues for BG fun. So i'm bombing eggs out there, and at the first stop (closest to the camp) I see the escort guy, surrounded by 3 level 70 Alliance. Hunter, Paladin, Druid.

So I figure I'll just chill on the outskirts and watch the escort, then zoom around looking for his respawn, as I sit there watching, the Druid decides to Moonfire me.

At that point i'm like whatever bitch, I'm going to die doing it but i'm going to make this escort as hard as possible for all of you now, you could have left me alone and everything would have been fine, but now I'm just going to be a dick.

So 2 Guards always spawn at the end of the first bridge you cross, so I fly over and stealth behind the side there and wait for the spawn. They Spawn, I sprint in and follow them, cheapshot the Druid, throw up Adrenaline Rush, Blade Flurry, get another Hemo in and then kidney shot her, the Hunter is right next to the druid, so all my hits are hurting her as well. I down the Druid in about 3 more Hemo's and an Arcane torrent, and then turn my attention on the Hunter.

At this point i'm thinking, okay i'm fucked, paladin is going to heal the hunter as he kites me around, I already burned sprint, but whatever. So I focus on the Hunter, bam, dead in seconds, he didn't even try and get away or bring his pet out. I then vanish, cheapshot the Paladin, Hemo, Kidney Shot, throw up Prep and Adrenaline rush again.

The Paladin just stood there, I don't know if he was stunned or stupid or just panicking, but he didn't even bubble, so he went down shortly after.

Three Alliance down and I still had about 70% of my health left, I couldn't believe it. Icing on the cake was that the escort guy respawned immediately in the same spot, so I talked to him, walked him through the entire thing and completed the escort in a few minutes without any interference.

Most of this was due to the fact they had to be absolutely horrible players, but still, taking down 3 people like that felt so good.

Wunderful!: Got edged out of the Kara spots I was expecting, went with a non-PAA one that vouched quick and routine clears. We had to rotate people and nine-man some of it, but we finished the instance up in 6 hours. I got Emerald Ripper off or Moroes, picked up 20 badges (too many people left for us to do Nightbane), and got to play Chess! We had two silly wipes on Aran and one when we tried to 9-man Moroes, but it was otherwise just very slow because of the rotating peeps.

Eventually I got super greedy and posted some 95g runed living rubies from a later prospecting batch, but there does seem to be a line folks aren't willing to cross, even if uncut living rubies start at 75g right now.

I take this back. Somebody bought the 95g Runed Living Ruby.

That's kind of retarded. I don't think I spent 75 for my Runed Living Ruby, and my server tends to blow horsecock as far as AH prices go.

Hate: Our raids catchall stance on consumables for raids. The general rule is that on any progression content you're expected to be flasked/elixir'd, food buffed, and preferably oiled. This is vehemently supported by one of the raid leaders, a hunter. Who doesn't seem to realise that on a lot of content, the healing flask is not going to help. Tonight we intended to kill Azgalor and work on Archimonde. People didn't turn up so we had six specced healers and one off-spec healing. Before we began this raid leader demanded that everyone flask. Fuck that, I don't need extra regen on Azgalor or his trash. We wiped during the trash, twice, then went to SSC. Neither of these wipes had anything to do with healers running out of mana. Yet afterwards he rattles of a list of everyone flasked followed by "thankyou these people for making us wipe".

It's so retarded to assume that each flask in the raid adds directly to the likelihood of success. I know when I do and do not need extra regen, thankyou very much. Don't bitch at me for not spending money I know is wasted.

Hate: With all the resilience arena gear being available for honor, lots of people seemed to have taken advantage of that and my crits kind of suck now, which is beginning to frustrate me. Stupid people with their welfare epics all over the place!

Happy: I added up all the totals and with ~135k honor and a bunch of tokens I can get a full set of resto arena gear with all the trimmings. I figure once I make some headway in that direction I can respec resto to do my arena games and hopefully either start doing better or join a team who's better, and then respec back to feral for everything else. Yay, welfare epics!
I was using the term "welfare epics" facetiously of course

It's not welfare when you bust your ass in stupid battlegrounds for weeks.

We should start calling them "working poor epics."

But let's hope this will be the last attunement run for everyone and we can go on to BT/

Edit: I ABSOLUTELY HATE that the PVP stuff looks like tier sets. HATE HATE

    Oh and absolutely LOVE:
The very FIRST MH ID after downing Kael, we manage do down 4/5 bosses and get archimonde do 21%
While clearing hyjal in the first ID would've been nice, I think two weeks is OK too.

The problem is.. if everyone does this, you'll be losing MUCH. And how are you going to tell everyone else "I don't have to flask, but YOU do!"
