I swear I know this from somewhere.. but for the life of me I can't remember where!

It's from a show on PBS I think, but I can't nail exactly what it is.

It's too generic to effectively google.

Thanks for any help!

That was my first guess, but I don't see anything like it in the shows opening. Other than a rainbow.. no shooting star motif that I could see tho.

From the images that are shown on Reading Rainbows wiki page that doesn't seem to have ever been the official logo at any time. However it could have been used in the animation.

If it's from PBS then it is most likely Reading Rainbow.

It's not like they only ever had one opening credits, it may be from an older one.

For some reason I'm reminded of NBC.

Yeah, I checked the intro's and even the outtro's for a variety of them, as well as parts to a few episodes, but no dice. Unless it was part of a commercial break or a random TV promo, then it's not reading rainbow.

I just have a feeling it's PBS... I've got no assurance it is. It's just driving me nuts now trying to remember what it is.

Yeah I really don't think reading rainbow. They DID have a rainbow, but it wasn't like that.

Where did you find the image? That may help.

Won't be any help. Friend of mine used it for her MSN avatar. I randomly asked where it was from since it looked familiar. She doesn't remember but thinks it was from some 70's - 80's PBS show (which was my thought too at first with Reading Rainbow), now it is driving us both nuts trying to figure it out.

Neither of us have been able to find it online anywhere, and she no longer has the original file (so can't check file name).

Reminds me of the art style for Arthur.

It reminds me a lot of the "Book It!" program from elementary school, too.

Maybe the overall style has some similarities, but the images certainly don't look anything alike.

I'll have to google some of the suggestions when I'm home to see if I can find any matches.

If any of these are it, that picture must show up somewhere that isn't exactly easy to find.

Magic School bus has some portions where the art style looks similar however.
