Woot, I have a zune and suck at using it

Well, sorta. My zune arrived last night, and I've been playing around with it, etc etc. Decided to put a couple small shows on it, to see how I like watching video on the thing. However, I apparently suck at this whole converting between formats thing.

I am using mediacoder, and it even has pre-set settings for converting to zune format. I don't understand how I can screw this up. The files are in .rmvb(Real media...whatever). There's no DRM or anything on them. Here's the problem, though:

I put two video's on there, small in size(both less than 100mb), about 20 minutes each in length. Neither of them have a title, or any info(just the name "title). When I start playing, I can't fast forward at all. I can't resume play if I stop watching, and the worst part... after watching for a while, the sound stops syncing with the video. I mean, the sound will keep going perfectly fine, but the video will stop, then move forward a little bit, stop, move forward a little bit, etc etc. It ends up lagging a good bit behind the sound, and I have no idea what's going on(especially watching something with subtitles).

I watched one of the video's a couple times, and it starts screwing up with the video lagging at the same place, so it makes me want to think it was my computer's fault in editing the files(as they don't do that on my computer in their native format). I was just using some medium settings(low audio quality, 512kbps, 25fps) when I converted it. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

It sounds like you're not getting a good encode of the file.

And I can do what about that, exactly?

With my Zune when I convert videos I use Videora. Supposed to be for the ipod but works fine with the Zune.

Tried it, but it didn't want to convert my files. What settings do you use?

I wouldn't expect that many pieces of software will be able to do much with a RealFormat video. Real is the bastard child of encoding.
