Looking at the final smash videos, Fox's seems to be the best. The landmaster takes up a whole lot of space and it's looking like it's a one-hit kill with the cannon. Anyhow, update will probably be something we've seen from the E for All footage.

I'm not sure it's a one hit-kill, just a good amount of damage and kick back. Pikachu's Volt tackle though, that attack moves really fast, and does a lot of damage. Pit gets hit by it and takes 40% easy.

The only problem with Pika and Sonic's final smashes is that they look really hard to control. The players are all over the place with them, and they seem fairly easy to dodge too. Also, the 2 worst Finals in those videos are Donkey Kong's and Zero Suit Samus.

Yeah, I'm thinking ZSS should lay down a powerbomb, which first does damage, then sucks everyone in like in Metroid Fusion to be then hurt by her Crystal Flash. I guess for DK's you have to be close for it to really work.

I THINK it was the move protect. Maybe while you're in that shielded area you don't take damage.

it looked like the bubble actually damaged people it came in contact with as well
That's definitely what the effect was. The user cannot be attacked while in that shield. I assume that means it was probably protect.
