Didn't Miyamoto say the Wii Remote was designed around Galaxy?
It's funny if it was, since all the motion controls fucking suck and fuck i hate those god damn ball levels so much
He's said that about the N64 and GC controllers, but I don't know about the Wii.
I do find it ironic and a tad disappointing that Galaxy doesn't really use much motion control.
No, no
I wish there wasn't any motion control in the game because (other than the pointer and the spin move) it fucking sucks and feels shoehorned in.
Well, I shouldn't say all. The bubble levels aren't terrible. The ray racing and ball levels are abortions of gameplay
Well, I was expecting that Miyamoto would try to show off the full potential of the Wii controls in Galaxy, hence my disappointment. The idea that what little is there sucks certainly doesn't help.
Gym, are you saying that games can't and/or don't tell good stories?
Because there's a fuckton of games that would disagree with you.
ie. super mario brothers 3
it's like, the whole time you think the princess is safe and sound and then when you've cleaned everything up you get one last letter and OH SHIT, GOD DAMN YOU BOWSER, what a plot twist
hey blank would you reccomend a purchase or a rental for assassin's creed?
Depends
if you have the money to throw around on it and there aren't any other games coming out(Mass Effect, Rock Band etc.) that you want go ahead and buy it. I love it because I'm one of those idiots that loves exploring a city and will do so for hours like I did in Spidey 2.
If you don't have the extra cash and aren't big on exploration then I'd definitely say rental.
Also, Keith that is the ball level was awesome. I didn't have any problems with the control. I would of rather controlled the Ray with the remote held horizontally, like Excitetruck, though.
Also, Rentillius, you are a whore and a terrible soldier in TF2 to boot.
I get a special kick out of the idea of AC sucking because Defender was using it as an example of why the Wii sucked in one of the early threads. Basically, since the Wii would be technologically incapable of playing such a revolutionary game the Wii sucked.

edit: 17 stars into Mario Galaxy and I'd just like to say that it is amazing. But you should already know that I don't understand why people don't know that.

IGN was pretty hard on it and I've read that it's getting mixed reviews all around.
I get a kick out of games that are hyped by their developers as being revolutionary only they don't come close to delivering.
peach gets captured by bowser 13: why do we even bother with a story
I thought I left that in G&T, honestly
Galaxy is basically a refined Mario 64
It's nothing new or amazing. It's just a newer, better version of an old game
It's still a good game, the animations are fantastic and the free-running throughout the city is awesome beyond compare.
However, it has AI issues and becomes very repetitive.
It's not an instant classic, but it's a good game nonetheless.
i don't even know what you were talking about, i was just arguing with you because you're dumb

The Metal Gear Solid series
