You know what I now realize I wish for most in the world? For Sakurai to hire the guy who voices Dr. Wierd to make voice recordings of all the updates. It would be perfect.
I don't understand why people think Mewtwo will be cut. Yeah, he sucked in Melee. So did Kirby. Why would Sakurai just throw away original characters for no reason? The only non-clones that people should be worried about are Ness and Marth, because of their replacements. I can maybe see Mewtwo having a Diamond/Pearl replacement, but not just removed. Ganondorf is also pretty much a given, since a new version of him would be higher priority than half the newcomers we've already seen. Thinking Luigi and Jigglypuff are uncertain is even more ridiculous. And Mr. Game & Watch has already been 99% confirmed by the icon listings.

So, I'm going to keep predicting my coin/shopping idea until I'm right.
Oh, and 100:1 odds for Master Chief seems a bit low; might want to use something like Graham's Number instead.
Actually, I think 100:1 is fairly reasonable. Consider the following:
- Both Banjo-Kazooie (post Rare buyout) and MechAssault have appeared on Nintendo platforms in the years since Microsoft entered the console market.
- Halo DS was actually in the works at one point, but canned for nebulous reasons. I think it was IGN that did an article on it after the NDA expired, and by "article" I mean "video showing them playing it". It actually looked really good, even in incomplete form.
- Supposedly, Nintendo claims they don't see the Wii as "competing" with Sony and Microsoft. And Microsoft's "Wii60" statements almost seem to imply that they don't see themselves competing with the Wii (or at least, not nearly to the extent that they're competing with Sony).
It's still a huge long-shot, and it's highly doubtful, but I'd say it's not a snowball's chance in hell so much as a snowball's chance in Miami on mid-summer day.

That's, um, that's why he gave those characters very high odds. ('cept Mewtwo for some odd reason).
I mean, when it comes down to it, any character not yet on the site is uncertain, just some are far less uncertain than others.

Mewtwo has pretty much lost all relevancy in Pokemon, outside of the competitive uber scene, and that's certainly not a group worth pandering to.
Lucario is massively popular in Japan right now, and as a humanoid Pokemon with a kamehameha-like attack who can learn psychic moves, he seems like an obvious replacement for Mewtwo.

On the other hand, Sakurai seems to have some serious nostalgia for the good ol' R/B/G/Y days, as evidenced by the entire Pokemon Trainer character.

I just can't imagine a unique moveset being cut, and I also wouldn't think Lucario to inherit his moveset.
It took me a little bit to understand what was going on here. I was thinking, "Why the hell are the elevator platforms in such a crappy place?" Go go brain speed.
Voilà ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate.
Also, wouldn't it be awesome if you could adjust the movement speed of a platform?
I'm hoping they add more to the level editor or not showing us all of its features. It would be nice to put in spawn points for items like many people want.

It's obvious there's more to the Stage Builder than they show in the screenshots. If you look at the panel with all of the building pieces on it, you'll see that, above (marked by the Z-button) there are different categories to select from, and "All" is selected. However! All of them only take up ever-so-slightly more than one page on the panel.
There would be no need for different categories for pieces if there were only as many things as we see. In fact, there would be no need for different categories if there aren't a shitload of different pieces that we don't see.
Edit: By the way guys, does anyone like the way my stage editor animates the flip and rotation now, or is it just dumb?

It'd be cute if mntorankusu's builder was one-upped by the actual game, in that you can rotate pieces but not just at 90 degrees at a time.

I think I'm done with Pokemon in Smash. Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, and be done with it. Please.
this is how I feel about Zelda so I can't say I blame you.
I agree. We don't need Zelda, Shiek, Ganon, Link, Link, Impa, Skull Kid, Navi, or even Error. We need only the meat and potatoes from each series. Link, Zelda, Ganon (maybe) and done.
I love them adding to Kirby series and I think 3 is a perfect number of representation. Besides Mario I can't really deny them. Diversity is what makes this game great. Over crowding of a series is disheartening to say the least.

I disagree. Every series needs every character playable. Whenever you think that a series is over-represented, that they had to push out another character to make room - just know that they pushed out one of the nearly 500 pokemon.
We need as many characters as possible, regardless of how many from each series. Personally I'd like to see Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Midna, Zant, Skull Kid, Tingle, and Vaati playable. As far as pokemon goes, I'd be disappointed if they got rid of any of them(Except Pichu, since hes both lame and a clone anyways) but would still like to see them add Scyther at some point too.

Pichu is better than pikachu in every case.
Anyways I will give a prediction for tonight's update!
Well. Sort of. I am not as creative as Sakurai so I don't know what he's going to do with it, but update related to the new Wii TV Guide Channel. New Challenger?

Lucario is blah.
Seriously, can anyone help me post a stage?

I totally thought this was Tingle at first.
I decided to use Print Screen and Paint. Is that what I was supposed to do?
Also, I originally wanted to call it the Masochist's Elevator but that wouldn't fit.
This looks like hell to play on.
I expect it to be up for download ASAP when Brawl comes out.

That looks like a stage to be included if Chip from Chip's Challenge was added as a fighter..
Naw, that would require blocks that if you push just a teensie bit too far you're fucked and have to start the level over again.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
C'mon, admit it, Frostbitten (Is that name too cliche?) will be epic, assuming it will be possible.
Pichu is better than pikachu in every case.
