I think we should all chip in and write knob's biography, and make it really epic.

The Walmart here isn't 24 hours like the ones down south were when I was at college. I normally pick up DS games from Target when I'm on my way back from Sarah's. I started doing this because gamestop doesn't open until like 11am and it was then that I realized that Target is way better.

Or maybe a pre-order for the latest over-hyped crap?

Have you seen our Halo wristbands?

I stood in line trying to buy PW2 last week for 20 minutes only to get a talk about placing 5 down for AJ when I said I would press my luck it was not a suggestion nor a hint that I handed my $15.62 to you and waited as you dicked around looking for the game in the drawers while your wingman tried you get me to come back for a game I could get at work for cheaper

We don't have gamestops in Aus, we have EBs though, one guy there humoured my friend about how couldnt live with himself if he didn't pre order WoW:TBC, good times.
But damn their shit is expensive compared with regular stores that happen to stock games, $100 for a standard game? Fuck you too EB

Hmm I started playing PW3 and I'm on Bridge to the Turnabout and I played Turnabout beginings [Mia's first case] right before it. And I got a used game and I'm 99.9% sure I pressed new game.

But Godot talks as if I've met him before and they had a bunch of flashbacks to maya channeling in some cases I've never seen or heard of in the last two games and I got confused and looked online and every guide shows these as the last two cases...

Am I fucking retarded or is there something I'm not aware of?

You went from the first case to the very last case?

    Something is weird

edit: oh no, turnabout beginnings is the fourth case

So you started with the fourth case, it sounds like

Well that's retarded, I finished the first case and played the next case that it took me to right after which is always the next case. /sigh oh well. I'll hope the First couple of cases were just fillers like the circus and whatnot.

I remember right when that store went bad. I used to go in there and play whatever game I wanted for free for about half an hour, then I'd trade in an old genesis game I had and get $15 store credit, then buy a used #32 game with that credit.

One day I went into the store to return Wolverine: Adamantium Rage and they told me they'd only give me $5 for it.
They soon stopped switching out the games in their systems, then ditched the systems all-together in favor of those demo cabinets.

Then they changed their sign and stopped carrying old, used games.

Similar story with Babbages. A damn shame about those stores but I guess they weren't turning a great profit or something.

How is GTA: Liberty City Stories? Portable GTA would be pretty neat, but on the other hand having a third person "shooter" without a second analogue stick to rotate the camera would drive me nuts.

There's a place in some really ghetto mall about half an hour away from here. They have a similar setup. Everything from Intellivision to Atari 2600 to Dreamcast to N64.
The place is mostly-empty except for rows after rows of baskets and glass cases with old games and a cluster of uber-nerds that hang out up front. The cashier didn't even acknowledge me until I leaned over the counter and asked if they had any Animal Crossing DS in stock. He just shook his head with his eyes glued down to his DS screen. I could have robbed the place and nobody would notice since they were all playing Wii and DS up front.

    It's fine

I pretty much bought it for the novelty of a portable 3D GTA game

The guys at the Gamestop here in Columbia must be lazy, or they just hate their job. They don't try to push shit on me. I bought Elite Beat Agents and Sonic Rush last week and he was like "You have x days to return them if you don't like them, thank you, have a nice day." Very no-nonsense.

Yeah same here, I had to bug THEM to get an Edge card. They offer help when I walk in and I usually just shoo them off and I'm browsing and they don't bug me and we just have small talk then I leave.

that's how i am at my store

except today, i did bug a guy to get a card

because, not only would it have been free, he would've saved $10

he was like "hmm, i might have to put something back." and i said, "well if you re-sign up for the card [his expired] you'll save $10" and he said, "nah" and i said, "it's free." he said, "no thanks", so i said, "it's $10 you won't have to pay"

    he still didn't take it

    whatever
