Mulan 2 is one of the few Disney sequels that was actually good.

Nothing like the original, but at least it didn't ruin it by association like the Lilo & Stitch sequels.

I'm extremely leery of Disney Sequels that are produced by their own 2-D studio. Chances are, if it isn't produced by Ghibli or Pixar, it sucks. Hell, I'm becoming leery of their original 2-d movies altogether.

Honestly, Ghibli and Pixar are the only reason the Disney name still has any footing at all in the business of animated films these days. They've fallen so far from their glory days. I remember growing up through so many great animated films; I'm talking about the likes of Aladdin (god yes), The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. What happened, Disney? All of that constantly inability to budge from G-Rated movies finally squeezed the last bit of life left in your 2-D animation studio?

It's blatantly obvious that, even today, any animated movie franchise worth a damn gets milked to High Heaven. How many Land Before Time movies are there now? And why do really good movies get fucking ignored (Titan A.E. anyone?) Why does Don Bluth not have a job making fucking-awesome movies anymore? >:/

Am I just remembering wrong or did the teaser for Titan A.E. come out a couple years before it was released, and then they never said anything about it again until it came out?

Critters 2: The New Batch was a quality sequel

    You mean Gremlins 2, right?

Or was there a Critters sequel with the exact same name as the Gremlins sequel.

Critters 2 was Critters 2: The Main Course.

    They were both quality sequels.

Leprechaun in da Hood needs to get some mad props as well.

Leprechaun 4: In Space is an affront to God and human decency

Good jesus - I'm not sure any DVD player can withstand the force of Casper Van Dien, Tom "I used to be Zeus" Lister, and and Coolio in a futuristic vampire flick.

I may have to rent it.

It end with the villain screaming in agony outside whilst the nerd has sex with the hot first mate/police android/sex android.

Also, the Transylvanian Sector of the Carpathian Galaxy.

    You forgot the explosion.

    And the worst Dracula ever.

I own this movie. I bought it the day it came out.

    Fucking Dracula in space.

Speaking of Vampires, I'm gonna be a bit of a weeaboo and say Vampire Hunter D : Bloodlust was way better than the first one. Man, I'm gonna totally watch that along with some of the creepier X-Files episodes I own tomorrow (Halloween).

And just to cement my status as a total nerd, I'm gonna point out how the first 2 HP movies were okay, but number 3 (Azkaban) is the best. 4 was good, abut 5 left some to be desired...

this is pretty recent, but I really liked 28 Weeks Later

its characters weren't as strong as the first one, but the atmosphere was damn close and it had more scares

28 weeks later was amazing. One massive horrifying escape scene filled with rage zombies <3

    I'm hoping for a 28 months later.
The virus spread to mainland Europe somehow, so they could easily make a fullblown apocalyptic zombie movie in 28 months.

The ending sucked though. It's all "SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TIME IN 28 MONTHS LATER!"

    Yeah, that really, really blew

it didn't ruin the movie for me, but I got the distinct impression that some higher-up had already decided there were going to be 3 movies before greenlighting it

Road House 2 for worst sequel.

Anything titled "Road House" should be about the best cooler in the world, but the sequel was about some DEA agent who goes undercover as a bouncer or some shit. What the hell, honestly.

Without a doubt Rocky 2 is the worst. The best part of the first one is that he didn't win.

Really hating Die Hard because of the hacking plot not making sense is retarded.

It fits my two criteria for a movie: 1) If it makes sense in the movie's world it's kosher. Die Hard is a huge big budget action blockbuster that doesn't really need to be perfectly correct with everything. If it was realistic Willis would have died the first movie.

and 2) Unless the movie is about the specific subject, give it a little leeway with accuracy of it. If Hackers fucked up hacking a computer system(Which it did) then yes, by all means hate it. LFoDH is based around the action, not the tech and thus earns some leeway.

I was pissed off with this movie.

I want in because the previews show this huge fleet fight thing along with an army about to go to war. Surprise, fleet fight and combat take up maybe ten minutes of a two hour long film!

Not to mention I didn't know this was any sort of continuation, and my mom failed to inform me of this... So I found this movie rather annoying.

I love the first one because, even though by the end you think holy crap no one could survive this it kind of sneaks up on you. Most of what happens seems reasonable it just keeps building. The fourth one, reason was thrown out in the first scene so its just good fun. Almost like Willis's character knows he's an action star at this point.
