Restoring iTunes Playlists

My hard drive crashed, however, my music was stored on an external hard drive.
I have all the music back in my library, however, I don't want to loose all my playlists when i erase and synch my ipod.
Is there any software out there that can recover the playlists that i have on my iPod and apply them to the library that i currently have on my machine?
I already tried iPod Rip it didnt help
