Crossposted from the Mac thread in G&T, since I'm pretty much the only one that answers questions there* and I'm the one stuck this time.

" Okay, I need some help. I'm trying to create an interactive Dichotomous Key. It's basically a series of Yes/No questions, but my design idea far outstrips anything simple like that. At the moment I'm using Keynote, but I can't export it without losing my transition effects, transparencies etc. It needs to have:

Full support for alpha transparencies, shadowing etc (so PPT is out)
Smoothly pan from entry to entry using buttons or clickable areas, not just in a linear series (I can email my current Keynote version if you want to see what I mean)
Support for QT movies would be really handy
And it needs to export or compile as something a Windows person can open without having to install anything wierd (ideally it would play in a browser)

Have I set my heights far too high?"

*Massive exaggeration. <3 you guys really.

can export as a self contained exe file and mac projector.
    handles transparency fine.
    imports video.
    toooons of tutorials on line.
downside: is not the easiest program in the world to use.
you can download a free trial from adobe (30 day expireware).
