This thread is inspired by the latest episode of TRS.

What were your scariest movies as a child and as an adult.

For me, as a child it was certainly the twilight zone movie.
I don't know why. that eye just creeped me the fuck out.

Now, I would probably say that the Descent terrified me.
I'm affraid of small places.

believe it or not, i have more important things to do than laugh and clap my hands... reschedule

IT, the Birds, also there was a really scary episode of button moon where they went to the zoo and there was a really sinister lion made out of blocks, but then teddy knocked it down and all was well.

    ET.

That movie scared the shit out of me as a child.

And now movies don't scare me anymore.

I honestly haven't seen a movie that's scared me in forever.

And watching horror movies is a hobby of mine.

Especially bad ones, those are the best.

As a kid, watching It on TV when it was on primetime scared the piss out of me.

As a young adult and even to this day, I would consider Event Horizon the most terrifying movie I've ever seen. And I watch a LOT of movies.

On a side note, I just watched Dead Alive last night for the first time. While not frightening, it was quite possibly the most gory movie civilization has ever produced.

Correct. My wife couldn't have timed it any better either, walking in when the dude was walking through the foyer with the lawnmower strapped to his chest.

I was laughing at the ridiculousness, she was in utter shock. It was a Christmas card moment.

I get quesy whenever I watch the never ending story because I threw up once because of the fur covered scales on that dragon thing.

    the white dog dragon.

I was sick, and the thought of scales and fur together made me quesy for some reason.

    Also, I was like 5.

Event horizon was a good tool for teaching me that just because it has spaceships in it does not mean I am in the Sci-Fi section of the movie store. Also I was like 10 or 12.

I expected to be infintely entertained by an action movie with spaceships. Also I just looked up the cast from that movie and Laurence Fishburne was the captain. He sure did do some crazy stuff after Peewees Playhouse.

Just thought of another while sitting here at work. I watched Sleepaway Camp about two months ago. It was about 99% crap, but the last 5 minutes were scary as hell. Craziest. Ending. Ever.

If you remember the face that is frozen at the end of the movie...UGH#T^(T@
