With my ping and constant alertness I always get stabbed in the face. Always. I'll see a guy on my team as I'm spinning around scanning everything, instantly think wait, what?, then spin back and WHAM!
I've been stabbed 1 second ago according to the server so KNIFE IN FACE.
I must look like the stupidest medic in the world to most spies, whereas I'm almost always able to watch them start their backstab animation and know in that split second, there's nothing I can do. Just the other day I spun around and saw one go from no stab to draw back his hand then stab. The entirety of the stabbing animation.
It would be annoying if I got annoyed by that kind of thing, instead I just like to think I'm such a good medic that the game has to give people facestabs or they'd never get me.

Ok, so I got a big confidence boost from playing Medic tonight. Even got to Ubur a Spy (Bama) and another Medic (TFS) for antics while defending. GOOD times.
It's really hard to get backstabs when you're red and glowing.

But it does allow you to spam the knife taunt with impunity.

I once was aiming at a heavy for a headshot and a spy happened to run in front of him while he was cloaked. It made me go "what the" seeing someone else's name for the headshot display. Then I noticed the spy's corpse. Then I giggled like a girl.
I got headshot in sudden death as a spy when I walked in front of the sniper as he shot at my soldier buddy on the other side of the cap area. Then he killed the soldier, then I cried.

Goddamn, I was just playing on a pub, on Dustbowl, on offense, as a medic. Was going straight to their CP from the back with a pyro, and there was NOBODY there except for one spy, who proceeds to get burned in the face, then STAB ME AS I'M FACING HIM. Not talking about a backstab animation here, even: he gets a normal fucking swing as I'm ten feet away and looking right at him, and I instantly die. The pyro does his best, but gets killed with the cap at 90%. If that spy hadn't lag-killed me, we would've won, and we ended up losing (as tends to happen on fucking pubs).

I've noticed more and more there just seems to be a guy on each team who likes to bitch incessantly about everyone else on the team.
"Why aren't you guys pushing forward?", "We really need to move up.", "Why isn't anybody else doing anything?", "so-and-so what are you doing, that's wrong", etc.
Despite all the whining that apparently we aren't even trying to win, we usually do win and do so without this guy even being near the cap or the top of the team points when it's over.
Seriously, we're trying to win too so shut up.
You are being really general here. There is good communication too. The way you are talking, it makes it sound like we should all stop communicating. I say a few of those lines at various points in a game if I think it's necessary and the team isn't doing it, although I don't say silly shit like "Do you want to win or not." or "Why isn't anybody else doing anything?".
I don't want people to think they shouldn't talk at all.
I'm fairly new on the servers, and it seems to be spotty. There are games where I'm on a team full of people who want to joke around, and don't bitch at each other when we lose. Those are awesome. That's what I expected from PA.
Then there are games when people just fly off the handle, as though we are playing for money. Those games suck, and I have no idea why fuckwads like that aren't verbally shut down by everyone else. I don't know that the server is "going to the dogs" but there is a lot of really unnecessary negativity.
As far as people telling the team when to push, and whatnot, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. You've gotta communicate on some level in a team game.
I've been playing on Jonxp's server and Job's every night for about a week now, and I've only seen two occasions where someone has gotten angry and used abusive language and in one case the person gave a very complete apology a minute later. So I'm not exactly sure where you guys see all this hostility coming from but I hope people kidding around isn't being misinterpreted as hostility.
Those screenshots also show why sometimes I get really frustrated playing in PA servers. In the first your top 6 players all had remarkably higher scores than the top player on the other team. The next three are higher than their fifth-best. I can only assume Zen had just joined, or his would probably be up there too.
And I think the second pic is pretty self-explanatory. I just cannot get into games that are so decidedly lop-sided, winning or losing. And this happens a lot more than I would like on the PA servers.

I'm glad you brought that up, because we almost lost that game from the first screen shot. We had gotten steamrolled the previous round so they had 20 minutes to get through our very tough defense.
Looking at the second screen shot, it almost screams stacked teams, but when I take a look at the names on their side, I see a lot of strong players who tend to float in the MVP of their teams. In that game, I really just think that we were more organized and that our class makeup worked very well.
Regardless of what happened, I can't imagine it was a lot of fun when their second-highest score is tied with your second-lowest.
I wasn't there, so obviously I can't say how those matches went down. But those scores look an awful lot like what I've seen in matches where it was an absolute slaughter from beginning to end, which are incredibly unfun for me to be involved in.
I remember one Well match where I was playing engy and our team pretty much had the 4th CP locked down before I could get a sentry totally upgraded. Like, every round.
This game can be so unawesome at times. Mainly when I've an Ubercharge waiting to be used on a Heavy that is about to storm the enemy's fort in 2fort, and some goddamn fucking spy backstabs me. :x
But then I switch to Scout and go double jumping and ruining some sniper's day

You might be an excellent spy, but I miss my crazy soldier buddy when you are off stabby stabbing. You squish everything so hard on command, I feel safer than with a heavy, who I generally just use as a moving wall. *hides behind heavy*
I just got to learn to keep up with your crazy.
Wish I could play more with you guys, but an exam a day for two days starts in two days.
After that though....I am fully charged!

There's also too many stickies for the average 24 man server. Pretty unique server to have 32 men on gravelpit and none visible in the screeny.
No I didn't count individual, I just looked at how much of the picture 8 took up and then counted out how many patches of stickes that big I could find. So since that method wouldn't include loose or overlapping ones and I hit 32, way more than 32 men.

Oh yeah, one of the best moments also happened last night. Sudden Death on Hydro. Me as Heavy. I get an Ubur set up and I run ahead over that little hill and see 4 of the other team. Ubur up, drop the minigun and I get a Crit flurry and kill 4 of them before I die to Demo bombs.

I've wasted one in Sudden Death on an unnamed Soldier who insisted on chasing down a Sniper with his shovel rather than kill the Pyro+Medic behind us.

Stupid snipers
I don't stay stationary. :P
Actually I do, and I remember when we had an uber spy go in and back stab someone.
You and Arikado did a really good job of healing on that dustbowl defense, I know I wouldn't have been able to get a 19 kill rampage without it.

Please tell me that that is shopped. Please. Don't tell me it's for real.
It's shopped. I can tell by the pixels, and having seen a lot of shops in my day.
not likely considering the number of stickies.
