By the way, I am taking your responses to the survey into consideration. I had the opening narration pre-written, but future narrations will be based on poll results.

I forgot to send in my survey answers to Locus today, I should've been more attentive.

    1. How do you like your narrations?
    -Humorous
    -Semi-serious

    -Forum games are serious business

    2. How long do you like your narrations?
    -Non-existant
-Bare-bones (maybe a couple of sentences)
    -Average (two or three paragraphs)
    -Epic (like Plutonium's phalla)
(I feel that for mini-phallas, the key is to run a small phalla with experimental game mechanics. Tryin' new & excitin' stuff is far more important than spendin' time comin' up with a heavily long narration. But for full-blown phallas, super narrations are always a plus.)

    3. Do you like your narrations to reflect what happened over the course of the day? (Like in the Greatwood)
Verily. Narrations that follow the perceptive stance of the players is a great way to make a swell narration.

    4. Do you like Infidel's style of not revealing who died until the very end of the narration?
I gathered his narration was made for suspense, like how Death Note was modeled. It's nice, but not really an every-phalla occasion style.

    (Just for the Survey):
    1. Semi-serious
    2. Average or bigger!
    3. Letting the players drive the narration is win.
    4. Yes, I prefer my style and think it works fine for all. Why? Because if you want the instant results, just click the spoiler. If you would rather have to read through without the results stabbing you in the face as you do, you need the spoiler.

Oh and in case people are curious, I am working now and thus don't have the free time I used to. Have to be up 9 hours from now, so I won't be up much longer. And when I get home from work tomorrow, I won't be on long before going to the Johnathan Coulton concert (which is gonna be badass). So yeah, Day 1 inactivity excuse blah blah...

ETA: Crap almost forgot I could be punished depending on my posts... Anyway, just know that I am already pretty certain I know who the evils are, as you guys are so obvious. Also, I have deduced all the hidden abilities and post restrictions, and plan to use that knowledge against the evil team.

Yaharr! I've a mighty thirst for a new Phalla, and it gladdens me heart to see this one set sail. Best be lookin' sprightly in this one, lads. Inactives can expect to see themselves swingin' from the yardarms in short order!
Regarding the narrations, I like epic narrations, generally serious, but a few well-placed comedic elements are never amiss. tux's narrations in Ad Astra were spot-on in that the tone of the narrations was serious, but the characters within them created humor.

Letting the narration be influenced by player actions is nice when possible, but I wouldn't want to see narrations get unnecessarily constricted by it. Also, I generally prefer to see the results contained within the narration -- ideally when it's already apparent what's happened to the player.

Before we begin, I believe we need to establish some definitons, so that the proceedings are clear and unencumbered. I intend to prove that the above post is infused with the following attributes, as they are defined:
    • Prejudice or discrimination based on an individual's race; can be expressed individually or through institutional policies or practices. ...
      www.hsp.org/default.aspx
    • or racialism is a form of discrimination based on race, especially the belief that one race is superior to another. ...
      encyclopedia.kids.net.au/page/ra/Racism
    • The belief that one 'racial group' is inferior to another and the practices of the dominant group to maintain the inferior position of the dominated group. Often defined as a combination of power, prejudice and discrimination.
      www.bl.uk/learning/histcitizen/voices/ref/gloss/glossary.html
    • The doctrine that race is the basic determinant of human abilities and that, therefore, the various racial groups constitute a hierarchy in which one group is properly regarded as superior to others. Racism has also been defined using the following formula: Power+Prejudice=Racism. ...

People are currently preparing for the phalla, and are getting anxious as to who would be bold enough to attempt their first bandwagon.

I am inexperienced in phallas comparatively to these veteran players, and for me to take the first shot is not a proper etiquette in these practices.

Also, everyone in this seems to be speaking in a peculiar manner. All except for that monster !Natik.

The rules of grammar clearly state, in "ENGLISH 101," by Ima H. Ussy, that a period must end every sentence, a comma separate every clause, and that the sentence begins with a capital letter.

Ladies and gentlemen of the phalla, NATIK is clearly guilty of not following these rules.

Never fear, MacSpectre is on the case!

However, this case is to be handled very delicately....such as one handles a back tracing forward pass fake into a straight shot for the goal line.

    We must tread lightly.

    Addendum:

It appears that I was wrong. When I brought the subject up with durax, he did not have any explanations to the strange manners in everyone's speech. However, he did point out that NATIK has- a rather fitting impediment if I should comment on such things -his own unique style of talk.

His fast flying accusations and outright swindler-style statements were not of chance. It is his mark, his trademark.
