I think the new patch is great, only thing I don't like to much is that you can run heroics with honored. A lot of people in bad blues. I think that revered heroics was good because it actually made you try hard to get the gear and stuff and by then you should be running kara and in some epics.

"I've got everything I need from regular instances, but I've got to run them 5 more times because I need to be revered to go to heroics!". Bleah, forget that noise. I've got several chars at 70, at least three of whom are ready and geared to run heroics. Can't be arsed to get to revered on each and every one of them to be able to go to those aforementioned heroics.

"I have never been to Shattered Halls before, quick sign me up to run the heroic version in it."

You are right, it shouldn't take a dozen runs of an instance to get to where you can buy the key, but for Coifang and Hellfire being able to buy the heroic key without ever going through the level 70 instance may not be the best idea either.

I have also never been to Tempest Keep, but I can buy the Heroic Key if I choose to because of reaching revered with Aldor and doing a single Sha'Tar quest afterwards. (Getting Sha'Tar rep from turning in Aldor items was really helpful in that regard.)

Problem with Shattered Halls is that no one ever wants to run it because they have it set in their brain that it's the hardest instance EVER so many people never get to run it.

I don't get how there are so many retarded hunters. The level 10 Hunter quest requires so much random running ("go get me a Dire Mottled Boar! That was easy. Now go get me a Surf Crawler. No, not pygmy. No, not encrusted. Yep, run aaaaaaaaaall the way back to Sen'jin village. Good. Now go get me an Armored Scorpid."
    GUYS.
    I GET IT.
    I CAN TAME STUFF.
YOU DON'T NEED TO MAKE ME DO IT THIRTEEN TIMES.

I thought the same thing on my blood elf hunter. I just got two different stupid animals and now I have to run my ass down to Ghostlands just to tame something and run back? You're a dick. Also, the pet name bar isn't long enough to allow me to name my cat Mr. Mostly Mittens.

    Wait, I figured it out.

The competent players are all being pushed away by this shit.

The fucktards have no idea that this is retarded!

The problem I have with getting my tanks {warrior and paladin} to 70 and geared up is because other people don't understand that I just pulled the mob it does not mean I have full argo with it

I can understand there is a lack of them willing to run pugs or runs but the horror stories I have with trying to tank underbog/slave pens with a level 70 dps would take pages

How the heck do you do the racing quests for the Netherwing? Or maybe my broom is made of fail, idk. I can't win.

You don't. The last two are practically impossible.
    :|

The next to last one is possible if you are (or are grouped with) a paladin.

Skyshatter is pretty much impossible unless you have a group to help absorb the meteors, and have 0 lag.

One thing that helps: look up the races on youtube. I had a hell of a time with Mulverick until I watched the video of the race to figure out where he was going.

    Nah, there's some tricks.

If you have fairly bad lag, yeah you're pretty much screwed.

But for both Mulv and Skyshatter (oddly mulv was easier on my rogue than pally and vice versa for Skyshatter o_O) there are a few things you can do.

Anyway, for mulv, hes slower than skyshatter, so he's fairly easy to "roll with" when he makes turns and such. The easiest way to do him is to constantly try to stay directly above him a decent bit (he has a much much much larger "lose" radius than Skyshatter) and race with the camera looking down on both of you. With it like this, most of his shots never even get near you, and those that do are fairly easy to dodge. You might have to do the race a few times to get his general path, but he is a shorter race than Ichman, so there is less to remember.

Skyshatter is a really short race overall, but his "lose" radius is very small, so even a second of lag can cause you to fail which can be irritating as hell when you are doing the race great. Anyway, what works really good for Skyshatter is to stay directly flanking him on either side depending on the direction he's going. When you're fairly close to him and directly to his side you're more or less out of the area of effect of his meteors, and the very few that are close to you tend to hit him which is kinda funny actually. Like Mulv you will need to run it a few times to get his twists and turns down, but once you do he's not that bad, and actually overall his difficulty has nothing to do with his "shots" like mulvs inviso-homing-bolts that will randomly shoot you down when they're 5 miles away, but its just keeping within his radius, his shots are easy as crap to dodge if you've ever spent any time doing bombing runs in BEM without an epic.

The only really stupid thing about these last two races is that a riding crop is required. It makes the final reward totally pointless other than bragging rights, but it's just how it goes. This is of course assuming you're not a pally or a BM hunter. Personally I couldn't have cared less about the whip, I want rep as fast as possible and I think the last two races give you 1500 total which is just too much to skip.

Actually I really wish there was a racing daily. Even if it was hard as shit, I really enjoyed the races despite the difficulty curve for mulv and skyshatter, and it would have made the Netherwing grind slightly less grindy. Here's hoping for some sky racing in WotLK.

You know, that actually makes sense. When my priest went 70 and I specced holy, I ended up pugging SH in a nice group and we got through with no wipes. It was my first run in SH. So I go to my guild at the time and I'm like "Dudes, let's run Shattered halls! Dungeon set gloves! Rep!" Everyone is like "Fuck that noise, that instance sucks."

    I was like O_o

But, of course, over time I taught them different. SH is easy as long as you aren't running with noobs. And now that my Paladin is 70 we don't even bother crowd controlling in there.

SH is easy. Trash are harder than the bosses. And really, there's only one room that's tough, but you can bypass half of it. So even that room isn't a problem. (the room with the 5 pulls, where you need to wait for them to halfway kill eachother before pulling)

Arc has always been my worst 5 man.

Hunter leveling is the easiest thing in the game ever. People just do it wrong and keep butting their heads against a wall and not thinking about how to get around it.

Take a few steps back between each autoshot and you can kill most 1-10 mobs before they get in your dead zone. The pet quests are just time consuming, but never more than like 30 minutes. When you tame something:

-Turn on Aspect of the Monkey
-Target the mob you want to tame
-Get it in range of your Tame Beast spell, but just barely in your range
-Take a step back then fire Concussive Shot at it (have a macro for this that has /stopattack right after it)
    -Immediately hit Tame Beast

If you have improved Concussive Shot (shame on you) it could help. Once you get traps, it is tons easier. You really shouldn't be dying during a taming session unless someone repops on you or it's an elite mob in an instance.

Plaguelands kinda suck as a lock. Because you can't fear undead. If you're FG spec, it wouldn't matter, though, I suppose. I don't know if felwood is better now that they added the second FP, and the inn at bloodvenom post. So maybe its better now.

So, Un'goro, Searing Gorge, Jintha'Alor, Azshara. Then Tirion & Nathanos's quests, maybe winterspring and some silithus action before leaving the olde worlde behind.

I figure if I do nothing but work, eat, sleep and Shaman, I could probably hit 70 by Sunday.

But I'll probably just take it at a reasonable pace once I'm out of the easy levelling curve.

why sonny I leveled my hunter back in 1.1 and you kids these days have no idea how easy you have it, with your "talents", and your "pet abilities", and your "enchants", and when I tamed my pet it took me three days to track it across the wastes of the barrens, and by the way the barrens were really barren back then, you have no idea, and I had to wrestle it to the ground, and hold it with my bare hands for nineteen hours, scratching and biting at me, until it submitted, and even then it still kept biting me when I tried to feed it, and it gave me rabies, and the dead zone was fifteen yards wide, and pets got res sickness, and mend pet was channeled, and when you used feign death you actually died
