This is fun, but I'm not sure if I'm really getting anywhere. The iris part of the eye feels fundamentally flawed, but I can't see anything I can do to correct it..

This page is full of awesome already.

Scosglen, you're improving with such leaps I'd probably break a leg trying to imitate it.

Y dis dood hayt u, Mully? I don't see why the right part of his jacket would be scrunched up.

Is there a way for me to vectorize this in Photoshop, or do I need Illustrator? When I rotate it in Photoshop, it comes out all nasty.

Yeah, just do a Live Trace in Illustrator to vectorize it. Those are REALLY simple shapes, so there shouldn't be any problems in the conversion.

Right, but see, I don't have Illustrator or the money to buy it. If you've got it, would you mind vectorizing and rotating it 45 degrees for me?

And, Neo, that's awesome right there, but I think there's something wrong with the glasses. They're slightly crooked I think.

I sent you a file Tam with the trace of your design. I also agree, they seem to be bent in a v manner at the center, heh. I'll have to watch for that.

    Here's another rather quick one.

almost done. If his arms are too long after I throw on the skeleton, I'll just lattice them. I measured it and his wing span is the same as his height. I think it's the camera's focal point that is fisheye and making it seem a bit skewed.

eh, either way, it's an easy problem to fix

    Alternate with darker colors.

Cropping these (I'm thinking, mostly in the black-bg one) would make the whole thing look a lot better, and would leave a better impression. It would be more "BOOM!" than...*squint*....."peep".........

Costume designs; because if judging by my friend's recent quest to seek out and purchase an interesting shirt is any indication, should I ever grow dissatisfied with my current mode of dressing like a slob, it seems that learning how to design and sew my own clothing would end up being both cheaper and faster than fucking around in malls all day.

pretty sweet! Are you going to leave it rough like that, or soften it up?

I think the shadows are pretty harsh, but maybe the ref has the contrast upp'd. Still pretty nice!

I've been trying to come up with some ideas for my major project for art... But I'll I've really been doing is making some crummy studies and sketches that aren't going to get me anywhere.

So I tried something a little more... experimental... today.

Photobucket shrunk what I had up there, I'll get a bigger one up. I sort of want to put a background on it, or do more with the design other than a flat line for ground.

Edit: Balls, I haven't used angelfire in so long, I forgot. Thankee, TFS, for throwing it on the internet!

That should be sufficiently large. Glad you all like it so far.
Jordyn's design is inspired by Rane's grand furry extravaganza he was going to make, and my love for the Daicon IV opening.
