Tekken 5 Tournament

Looking forward to squaring off against fellow tournament goers today. I've never really been in a fighting game like this before, but I'm pretty confident. Do you guys have any tips? What sort of characters do you think will be commonly used?

    Everyone will use Roger!

    I don't know, since it is best 2/3 games I just practiced two characters. Who are they? That's a secret.

    I choked.

    I cleaned up during the pre-tourney freeplay, but the moment the tourney started I got my ass handed to me by Asuka.

    I made it to the last fight in my starting pool and got beat by a guy I had beaten in every practice round. He was still pretty good, so it was cool.

    I had more fun during the practice rounds owning with kuma. Power to the bear!

    I felt like I was doing pretty good in the practice rounds, but my Xiaoyu vs. a very strong Kuzuya ended it early for me in the tourney. The guy from oklahoma that won our starting group with Hoarang was pretty good, but I though the Kuzuya guy was a better all-around player.

    I had an awesome time, even though I got eliminated early. Next year. Next year.

    I over-slept and missed registration. Boooo!

    Played the guy who took 3rd during Sat morning freeplay, went back and forth wth em. Woulda been fun.

    Stupid worthless sleep.

    Zig, can you make it to GW anytime soon? I'll splurge for the play, just want to test my Hwoarang.

    Plus, if you are any good at 3rd Strike..there is a guy who shows up who is ungodly at the game.

    Maybe, I don't particularly like GameWorks to be honest. Plus they switched out the Japanese sticks on at least one of the T5 cabs (360's SUUUUUUCK!!!!). But I'm down to show up and play if I know people will be there. I like big crowds, heh.

    I actually do play some 3S. Was never that competitive but I'm more than happy to play some games.

    I'm currently working full-time, so I'll probably wait till school starts near the end of this month. I'll have the time AND I'll be much closer to downtown.
