I feel like I'm becoming trapped in the 90's when it comes to my music listening anymore.

Why is it the music that was around during our adolescence/early teen years just seems so much better then whats current? It doesn't even have to be stuff you listened to then, but can discover years later and become hooked into.

Try modern less popular music. You might just like some of it.

The Sydney show sold 55,000 tickets. It's at the exact same venue at the Big Day Out which is 65,000 in Sydney.

I wish I had exact numbers though, I know Melbourne is doing two shows of 15,000.

I have listened to The Hold Steady's "Cattle and the Creeping Things" hundreds of times, probably, over the last year or so.

But I still love it just as much as the first time I heard it. So good.

Okay... I want to get a few CDs or box set for my cousin.
Last time we spoke he said he was getting in to... lounge singers? I don't know how else to describe it, like Sinatra and Dean, I guess.

    Any suggestions?

    Anyone want to help me put together a mixed cd in the same vein as the songs I'm about to post, which will all be on there;

George Harrison While my guitar gently weeps
    Paul Mcartney Black Bird
    Johnny Cash Hurt
    Tom petty Alright for now
Foo Fighters Friend of a Friend
Death Cab for Cutie I will follow you into the dark
Bob Dylan Dont think twice it's alright

So basically if you couldn't figure out the formula, I'm looking to make a playlist of one singer, one acoustic guitar, and a generally sad but beautifully written song.

I'd prefer to not have artist repeate.

If you guys have any suggestions that fit that formula I'd greatly appreciate it.

    bright eyes - lua

    Oooh yes.

    This fits well.

A few more and I should have a decently round playlist.

I don't know what I'll use this playlist for, but I figure these should be good for relaxing or dozing off to sleep.

I'm done looking through my itunes for songs that fit so now I'll be looking those songs up.

Also, I bought the complete works of Robert Johnson for like 16 bucks. Not bad for when I feel like getting some blues in me.
