The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I just got an LCD HD TV and decided to dust of my old surround sound DVD player for good movie times. However, when I hook my DVD player up with component cables I notice the audio is just a little off, I've tried it with a few different movies and they all seem to have the same issue. So I'm guessing (hoping) that it is a slight delay caused by the picture having to go through the component cable.
I've browsed a few of the settings on the TV and DVD player and I'm not seeing anyway to adjust for this.
edit: Additionally, you could always buy a home theater receiver that supports audio delay and hook your sound system up to that, but a good one will probably cost more than the audio delay system mentioned in the link

Unless your surround sound system has a feature for increasing A/V delay, you'll need something like this ( http://www.projectorcentral.com/felston_dd740.htm )

Check this first. It's also often called "Game mode" or something similar.
I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
