    Our crappy satellite connection is slower than dial-up. So fake threads that get locked by the time I load them really hurt. I hope this thread won't hurt me like Richy's did.

    If you aren't getting what you should be at comcast.
    Call and complain, be assertive and don't except no for an answer.
    I just made them give me the HBO and Showtimes for 60 days free offer that they denied fucking offering until I got the hard copy mail advert that matched their phone solicitation. I then complained when they didn't give the HD channels that were offered.
    I then complained when I found out I should be getting 6 mbps instead of 3 mbps.

    It's too bad I'm speshul or I'd be very happy as far as teh pr0n goes. The radio chief here has something like 60 different porno DVDs, he's into asian chicas. As it is, I'm reduced to the mere 100 or so pics I have on my Macbook, and I'm pretty well familiar with them at this point.

    There's lots of "grabass" but it's the straight people (and mostly nukes) who engage in such tomfoolery. Other than that, there's no place to go on this sub that has even an illusion of privacy.     This particular computer I am using is separate from the unclass LAN, and therefore not monitored from this end. However, a great many websites are blocked, and I don't know if the Navy uses some software to monitor the requested sites for this particular system I am using (it's likely they do). But the real issue is the bandwidth (slower than dial-up) and the fact that I'm not alone here in the radio room. Sure, I can hack out a forum post or an email without worrying too much about someone reading over my shoulder, but someone need only glance to see nudity and such. Also, there is no (permissible) way to transfer files from this system to my laptop. It would be one thing to get caught with naughty gay pr0n and dismissed from Naval service, and a whole other worse thing to get caught transfering files from this rig to my personal computer (re: prison).

    There's also no way for me to actually go out and get laid when we're on liberty because the Navy doesn' allow sailors to be by themselves in port (we are treated like small children at all times) they call it the "buddy system" but it's really just a very short, very tight leash.

    I didn't know they ran tubes to submarines. The logistics of it seem impossible!
