Mash-up Madness!

A mash-up is a song comprised of elements of two or more pre-existing pieces of music. Through a co-worker I recently discovered dj BC's The Beastles and DJ Danger Mouse's The Grey Album. I'm definitely loving the spin on music I've heard before and was wondering if anyone knows of any other "major" mashup releases?

Now if you are talking about mashup songs, there are many many out there. "Artists" known to make mashups? The ones that I know aren't many: Mochipet, Girl Talk, Toecutter

65daysofstatic made an awesome mashup of Underworld's Born Slippy and Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart appropriately titled Born Apart.

The Kleptones - A Night at the Hip-Hopera is an entire album of Queen/classic hip-hop mashups and very, very good.

Party Ben has done some good stuff, I like his Coldplay - Talk / Kraftwerk - Computer Love mashup called "Computer Talk."

There's a Nine Inch Nails - The Hand that Feeds / Ray Parker Jr. - Ghostbusters mash-up floating around called "The Ghost That Feeds."

The Nemozob mash-up of Beastie Boys - Ch-ch-check It Out & Led Zepplin - Immigrant Song is great, as is the Zero Panik mix of Beastie Boys - Intergalactic & Rage Against the Machine - Testify.

I know of some others, too, maybe I'll post back later.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

Oh, I almost forgot the classic...
The Live in New York version of Orbital's Halcyon & On & On involved a funny as all fuck mash-up of Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle.

There's also Jay Z and Weezer, aptly titled Jay Zeezer.

There's a Beatles white album and someone else's (I think LL Cool J or someone like that) black album, that made the aptly titled, gray album.
