Man Frankie cannot get enough of the bubble tea. It's cool that it seems to be moving out of the cities now - it's pretty tasty.

I think that the name of the bubble tea place in Boston is meant to be a pun. It's the "Boston Tea Stop" - we call the metro system the "T" and the various stations "T stops". I'm not sure that it would really make sense anywhere else.

So tonight I did a double billing of "Michael Clayton" and the new "Sleuth". Both are excellent. MC in particular really hit me in the sweet spot; it's in the vein of The Insider, Changing Lanes, and Wall Street and is just astonishingly well-written.

If you took too much asprin then what you're feeling is your Eustachian tubes collapsing. It will hurt and you'll probably be deaf for around 12 hours, but it'll pass.

I wanted to see it and Frankie vetoed it. Apparently any movie with a dialogue-to-car-chase quotient of over 1/1 triggers an automatic veto.

Chloroform her and go watch it yourself, man. It's totally worth a solo trip to the theater. There've been other good movies this year but I have a particular fondness for these sort of bracingly smart, issues-based thrillers, and it's got some beautiful visuals to boot. Definitely will be dragging my friends to this.

Maybe I can drag Shinto down here some weekend and we can have a boys night out. We had to do that with Last King of Scotland while the girls shopped or some shit.

Frankie is out of her damn mind; Michael Clayton is a fuckawesome film. The estrogen is warping her taste in movies.

It's also probably causing her to bleed from the crotch, too.

I still need to see it, and a whole slew of other movies from when I was working 60-hour weeks last year. But at least I'm getting to take advantage of my current situation to catch up on all the good stuff out now. Tomorrow I'm thinking Darjeeling Unlimited, although I'm going to keep my expectations low since I wasn't huge on Life Aquatic.

I liked darjeeling. It reminded me of me and my brothers in that
everyone was keeping themselves as medicated as possible and bickering over certain stuff.

Although we don't really have a defined leader.
