I have Hexen 2 from the iD super pack (during the holiday special when it was only $50 ) but I've never played it. I gather it's... good?
All of the Heretic and Hexen games are good, if you get an opportunity you should play them.
Also, Hexen 2 was the first game I ever played online and I had a blast with it, but that might be nostalgia talking and you may have a different experience.

Yep, they're all here. Maybe when I get through my console games I'll come back and give this a try.
Gah. I need something to play. Slim and I have been going back and forth with ideas for me, but I just can't find anything worth committing to except maybe UT2k4. Right now I have City of Heroes/Villains, Mythos, Homeworld Cataclysm and Homeworld 2, Aquaria and Sins of a Solar Empire in my backlog.
That's it, and I've only played CoX and Mythos, I just for some reason can't will myself to play the rest since they're not very easily pick up and play on a whim (except Sins I guess). I have a Athlon 3200, 1 Gig of RAM and a 6600 GT.
Any suggestions, even Non-Steam games?
EDIT Also, preferably something that will last through more than one playthrough. High praise for the things I have listed above would help me want to try them as well.

You've got a database haven't you? It's sorted by title names, dates, system specs and genres. You run SQL queries on it to provide listings of applicable games and then dump them here.
Audiosurf - doesn't interest me, checked up on it.
Battlestations: Midway - doesn't interest me
Bioshock - played it halfway through and it got boring
Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4 Played them all save for 4, which my PC can't handle
Civilization IV - I'm a heathen and didn't like it Company of Heroes and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts - Maybe
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - Don't know much about this game. Day of Defeat: Source - Don't know about this one at all, like the community, but hardly see PA players. Also if it's like Wolf : ET, I'm covered for team WW2 action.
DEFCON - played it, was ok, Darwinia - read up on it, seems to lack players, Uplink - I think this is that hacker game, description didn't grab me
Deus Ex - need to try this and Deus Ex 2 - heard it was terrible
DiRT - no clue what this one is
Disciples II - no clue what this one is
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - beat it, it was terrible compared to the first
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - beta tested and just tried the most recent demo, no persistence and lack of PA players puts me off from it
Hitman: Something or other - heard some are good and some are bad
Jagged Alliance 2 - heard it was good.
Medieval II: Total War - I have all the Rome TW games and beat them, but they were kinda boring and didn't like how diplomacy never worked.
Orange Box - have it
Psychonauts - played it on the PC till the part where your dad is tossing stuff at you with he scrolling upwards level, quit in frustration of the keybaord and mosue not being good enough in that section.
Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 - if I get UT2K4 off of Steam, the older mod version is included.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl - Doesn't interest me after reading the Lets Play
Star Wars: Republic Commando - I beat this one, was pretty good.
Trackmania United Nations (free) - didn't like it despite the freeness. Not very big into racing
The Longest Journey - beat it and loved it.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines - beat it and loved it
X3: Reunion - I have it and it still sits there unplayed only because of the steep early learning curve.
AND multiple alternative names for titles it seems.
If you meant the two Longest Journeys, there are actually 2, Dreamfall was the second and not so good. You spent more time watching cutscenes and the puzzles were dumbed down.
Just for reference and if you need someone to play some games with.
I actively play:
Quake Wars
Day of Defeat: Source
I used to play Company of Heroes but it hasn't been as fun for me since Opposing Fronts was released. Also, no game has ever made me feel as angry as CoH.
Well for CoH I fear the balance issue since Relic let DoW go to hell. I figure they can't screw up Team America Vs. Team Nazi, but I could be wrong, now that there's 2 Team Americas and 2 Team Nazi's.

Hey! Team Tommies thankyousoverymuch! :P
As for balance, there are the usual complaints, but in general the game seems quite balanced. Like any RTS you need to be aware of the tactics for the side you're facing as much as the side you're playing.

That's like saying you don't need to bother making a sandwich because the fridge you got for free from some guy on Craigslist already comes with a moldy sandwich hanging out in the back that you can just chow down on when you get hungry. And it has AIDS.
To be fair, a multiplayer version called Multiwinia is in the works. As this title has yet to be released, can it not be said to have a lack of people currently engaged in playing it right now?
Hey, that logic meets the highest standards of journalistic integrity!
Isn't that the one where teams fight in the real world and cyberspace? If not I got it confused with that one. Technically it does lack players if it's single player and I am not playing it.

Kinda like Lemmings + RTS + Tron. It's hard to explain, but I'm pretty sure there's a free demo.

Uber, I bet you're thinking of Dystopia, not Darwinia. Dystopia is the futuristic HL2 mod that has a cyberspace element. And yeah, when I tried it last year the playerbase was light, but pretty friendly/helpful.
Darwinia, on the other hand, is an RTS-lite/Lemmings hybrid that takes place entirely in a virtual world. It's also one of my favorite games of all time and should be played by everyone.

Friendly players no longer collide with each other, the algorithm for bullet spread is more like the original Day of Defeat, and achievements out of the wazoo are the big ones. They're also working on fixing many map exploits.

I hope they're planning to make the new version the only version once enough people play it and enjoy it. Those seem like additions that could just be added to the normal DOD, but with an option to turn them off if anyone really objects or something.

Dystopia is pretty awesome.
The player base is small but whatever. There's usually a couple full servers and the community is decent.

Quake Wars

If it can do Bioshock it can do CoD4, easily.
Naw, the first one is the best game ever made, so the second simply pales in comparison. It's still fun.
A racing game.
Turn based strategy/rpg.
Depends on who you ask really.
It is. It is VERY good.
You can go invisible on that part to get past it.
That's like saying you don't need to bother making a sandwich because the fridge you got for free from some guy on Craigslist already comes with a moldy sandwich hanging out in the back that you can just chow down on when you get hungry. And it has AIDS.
But I just picked up Civilization 3 for 5$.
It's, OK, not as good as what it says on the box:
"The Greatest Strategy Computer Game of All Time"- Time Magazine
"Best PC Game"-PC World Magazine
Five boats focusing fire on the helicopter boss was silly. :P
Grid is better than Dirt. Multiplayer is fun too if you can make it past the first corner.
You'll notice neither of those quotes are from anybody that knows anything about PC games.

It sorta ran Bioshock, you saw my specs. I doubt I'd do well with CoD 4 unless I crank everything to minimum.
What sort of game is Jagged Alliance 2?
Also that moldy sandwich could have super intelligent worms that make me even more awesome....ok not really.
@Everyone Any other suggestions?
I've found that CoD4 runs (multiplayer) really damn well even on a middle-range computer. And said computer's video card had been blowing capacitors.
Do not buy.
Thanks for the warning, I'll steer clear of it for now. ~Crosses it off the list~
Blue, could you give me a rundown of the specs? Yougamers and SysReqLab both say I don't meet the minimum.
