Xbox 360 audio problem

Well as the title states I've got problems with getting the audio to work properly while playing xbox 360.

I'm using an lcd-screen, which doesn't have built-in speakers, so I'm using computer speakers using a VGA HD AV cable. The problem is that they don't have any ways of changing the volume (the control is on the cable which is supposed to be connected with the computer), so I'm stuck with audio so high that it's unplayable.

I'd really appreciate if someone knew a way of lowering the xbox 360 volume without buying a new set of speakers.

Thanks in advance
