I literally froze up, stard at the screen for a couple of second then dropped my spoon in my bowl of noodles in pure shock when I heard this news.

Brutal Legend, Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Ninja Gaiden 2, Ninja Gaiden DS and now a fucking GHOSTBUSTERS GAME written and starring the origonal cast of probably my favorite childhood movie of all time?

Alright, what's the catch? Who is screwing with me here? There cannot be that many pure, 100% awesome games coming out in the same year, it's just not possible.

I'm not going near my fridge for a good long time D:

The night before the release of this game (most likley the last of those awesome games I listed) I'm expecting to see a re-enactment of the end of Ghostbusters 1, except it's at my local games store, the bad guys win and Stay Puft will be replaced by Mario

Holy shit. I'm amazed they got Bill Murray on-board; I've heard he's tough to convince him to get on any project nowadays, much less a video game.

They must have held a gun against his head to get him involved in osmosis jones.O_o If there was any film I'd like to unwatch, it would be high on my list.

If Namco is in anyway involved, I want Pac-Man as an unlockable Ghostbusting character.

I mean, come on! He literally eats ghosts for breakfast when he doesn't want to eat pellets. Give Pac-Man the nuclear accelerometer, and even Stay Puft will shit half the city white in fear.

I want to be able to control the statue of liberty with the song "Your love keeps on lifting me higher and higher"! That was the GREATEST moment in movie history, and now hopefully game history.

Perhaps Bobby Brown will join the crew for this adventure!

This game should hopefully be on the 360 so I can play the same part but to the theme song from 'Team America: World Police'

America! Fuck yeah! Comin' to save the motherfuckin' world yeah!

Yes I am British but that song kicks so much ass, it made terrorist hunts on Rainbow 6 3 Vegas all the more fun.

Holy crap finally! I'm really surprised Paramount hasn't been all over the Ghostbusters liscense, since so many people still love the movies/cartoons/comics.

So dumb Ghostbusters question. Why the hell didn't they keep shooting Stay Puft? I mean, they get pissed that he is wrecking up the place ("Nobody steps on a church in my town!"), they start to kick his ass, then they just stop?! I mean, dude was about to fall over, then they just could have burned him up no sweat.

Of course then they wouldn't have been able to cross the streams and all. Gotta love Total Plutonic Reversal.

Ernie Hudson confirmed that he'd be voicing Winston at a convention in. . .Sweden, I think. He said he's been talking to Dan Ackroyd about it and, originally, they were going to record in July, but it got pushed back to January. So, yeah, all four Ghostbusters are in.

Sup with all the Ghostbusters II hate in this thread. It wasn't as absurdly stellar as the original, but that's like saying a tasty Kitkat bar isn't as good as, like, Olympian Ambrosia. They were both really good and fun, and hell, I thought Vigo managed to be a somewhat more effective villain than Gozer was.

If you want to believe Mr. Pecker here. . .

    My name is Peck.

Speaking of Peck. . .he's going to be in the game, voiced by William Atherton. Annie Potts is coming back as Jennine, as well. The game's going to take place in the early '90s and they hope to make the game into a Ghostbusters video game franchise.

Also, two versions of the game will be made. PS3/360/PC for the "Core Gamers" and PS2/Wii/NDS for the "Casual Gamers". No idea if the plots of the games will be different, but it they are, sign me up for both the Wii and 360 versions.

That poor bastard got typecast so bad after that movie. I haven't seen him in anything where he wasn't cast as "Incredibly annoying government dick".

To be fair, the fact that his characters are hated so much in the majority of his roles speaks volumes about his considerable acting talent. He is able to elicit emotion from the viewers in ways few other actors are capable of.

I always thought that a good movie plot for a modern day sequel would have been the dudes from the "Extreme Ghostbusters" screwing around and somehow unleashing some huge fucking mega bad guy, so they have to get the old Ghostbusters out of retirement to help them out.

    Hijinks ensue.

Anyway, I'm really stoked for this game. Getting the cast back together for VA is pretty damned awesome.

It sounds good but I'm wary of non-game franchise games.

I get the feeling they will forget important basics and fill it with shit like terrible driving sections and poor controls.

    Important things to include:
    -Busting ghosts
    -4 player co-op

You could pretty much have that in a free roaming city where you get randomly generated calls, and I would be a happy gamer. Maybe throw in the Stay Puft as some kind of boss that you can fight.

Oh please oh please. That would kick so much ass. Having to get three dudes to keep a ghost in place while the fourth player aims and throws the trap would be pretty killer.

I wouldn't mind some tasteful driving sections. Tearing ass around the city in the Ecto-1 with that fucking siren blaring and three other players in the car? Here's my $60.
