It was to do with swapping out of your sniper rifle after a shot to gain some 'unfair' advantage, I don't know what it was, but whenever I feel like sniper now it is annoying, because after you take a shot it is more clumsy to swap to other weapons, or to get the sniper rifle to an unscoped state.
I like my blutac in the middle of my screen to shoot people unscoped , I haven't taken it off in a day or two because I'm just too lazy to put it back on if I want to snipe for like, one round.

It doesn't take more than the 30 seconds of "waiting for players" for me to do it with blutac, I don't want to draw on my screen as it doesn't have the glass over it , so I'd just rather not draw on it, nor do I have a whiteboard marker with a small tip, or any black ones, so screw that. I prefer my tiny tiny tiny bit of blutac.
Pyro is good for small spaces and cap points, such as the last map when red lose on hydro (I think, the one where you can go to the cap point through the air vent), and B on gravel pit. It's really quite a map-specific class.

What, as a quake mod?
I don't know what it is, it might just be me having a larger idea of what an FPS should be, but TFC held my interest about 20 times longer than TF2
I still play TF2, it is fun. I just feel like it needs more, and hopefully they keep developing it, maybe taking some player made maps, and giving them a professional level of fit and finish and releasing them in a patch.

I suck at this game
It's one of those "easy to learn, difficult to master" sorta things.
I'd suggest playing Soldier or Pyro more and work on up.
