I am a Caldari Achura? with military training and a monk background...is that a good selection for pvp, or is charisma a more important attribute than I thought it was thus requiring a reroll?

Does the starting race/bloodline even really matter?
Nothing that you do during character creation matters in the long run except your base attributes, which are permanent. Charisma is worthless in pvp unless you decide to train a shitload of leadership skills. Achura are the best bloodline for pvp min-maxing precisely because you get other attributes instead of charisma.
    chaosbear wrote: »
I'm currently flying a kestrel with four standard missile turrets loaded with bloodclaw missiles. I looked at the attribute tab of all the various light missiles and didn't really notice any differences between them. Does it really matter which missiles are in the launchers at this level?
The only difference between missiles of the same class is the damage type.
    chaosbear wrote: »
I also noticed that by having four launchers, I didn't have the power necessary to put any shield augmenters or armor plating in the medium slots...so would it be worth it to drop a launcher and put in some form of defensive augmentation instead and if so, should I stick more towards the shield type of betterment because I am Caldari or does it not really matter?
As a new player you'll probably have trouble making a standard launcher setup work on a kestrel, since you need high fitting skills to get enough grid. You can try fitting a micro auxiliary power core, which gives frigs a large grid boost. If that's not enough switch to rocket setup. If you haven't already, google "Eve fitting tool." It's an app which makes ship setups way easier.
    chaosbear wrote: »
and finally, is the kestrel good enough to do some pvp stuff with or should I save up with an eye on getting the next in line, which I think is called the merlin, outfit that ship up well, and make sure I have enough for insurance and enough to buy another merlin when shit goes awry and I get blown up but good?
Both ships are about equal with a low skillpoint amount. With better skills the Merlin pulls ahead. If you want to dive into pvp I recommend finding a corp. PVP is expensive for a newbie, but older players won't balk at replacing your frigates. Flying in a group is also good because a solo frigate usually has trouble finding things it can kill.

Looks like you don't "get" the PA forums. We have no official connection to the PA site, and neither Jerry nor Mike read the forums with any regularity. Maybe I will care about "alienation" when it's of somebody that didn't register simply to troll with incoherent rants. Until then, get out.[/QUOTE]

You are right, I registered years ago so I could wait till now to unleash the trolling. IIRC I came in here with a big hi and was told basically to kiss off as soon as I hit the thread. Then I lost my composure, but I'm was/ am willing to admit I was a tard, so who's the trolls now? My point is frankly that some of you are real jerks online, which is fine but don't try and say I started the crap. As for my car it is pretty sweet I drive an 02 WRX that I bought in 01, I helped startup Rallitek Performance and worked for Perrin Performance, it has dynoed at 320 est crank hp with a solid 255 at the wheels compared to 160 atw on a stock car same dyno, it's a stage 4 setup and does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, so yah it's pretty cool. I don't own automatic weqapons, but I have access through an aquantaince, once again, full auto guns are pretty cool. I play Eve well, I have a decent amount of skillpoints and know how to use them to good effect in game wether I'm flying an interceptor or a BS. The more you tell me to get out the more I want to stay, so that's working good. I don't know any of you personally so I can't say I dislike any of you personally, but your internets manners are atrocious, as were mine. So I'm just saying can't we all get along on here and save the trashtalk for local after I gank your asses? :P We all must have something to relate to, we like PA, at least I do, and we like Eve, I know I do. so keep attacking me or not I can take it. PS I'm also and old fart at the ripe age of 38, so forgive the grey ear hair.

Yeah seriously I need to know how this guy on an INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD in a thread about INTERNET SPACESHIPS is so much better than me because his car is zomg and his girlfriend is so hot.

As for the smack talk, we don't like MC/Tortuga (or whatever gay Disney name you guys call yourselves) and you come in here all "hay guys I'm so much cooler than you" so what did you expect. Hell I actually like Siddy more than you and he's a damn furry.

On topic: To that newbie, just join us PAers in Merch and come down to Delve for the PVP, will get you ships to pewpew in that wont cost you anything.

    That is so great.

Also it's easy to make huge amounts of isk, I just buy timecards now through isk I make for little to no effort. Contact anyone who talks about rolling in piles of isku and we'll share the secret ways. Though it does take a familiarity with the market, so getting down with that first is more important.

So, after loosing my battlecruiser (with some parts still shrinkwrapped) to Chinese pirates in .4 this weekend I came to several profound (to me anyway, I'm quite sure this is old news to veterans) conclusions:

    1) Never work for an agent in .5. They will inevitably send you to .4 where you will severly punished for daring to enter lowsec without a very expensive PvP equiped ship and a posse.

It's a crap shoot, sometimes the gate will be empty, othertimes you're camped to shit. Best thing to do is avoid it, or put an mwd on your ship and a tank, and drive back to the gate, hoping you make it back through.

    2) It's quite odd that with all the complex math in this game, a low mass frigate has the physics-confounding ability to "bounce" a high mass battlecruiser to keep it from flying in a straight line.

u giev missl or get bump

    3) Pirates don't seem to care that you don't understand their language and demands. They really just wanted to kill you anyway.

I've screamed pidgin at people and blown them up anyways, simply because the confusion is hilarious, and they usually end up calling you a chink for the poor english.

    4) The comments throughout the tutorial and rookie channel about "pod killing is never allowed" is a damn lie.

The tutorial is shit, if you're going around solo it's boring, you're alone, and you have no one to explain things to you that make no sense and were never documented.

    5) You can't enter lowsec without a big ship. You can't get a big ship without lots of money. You can't make lots of money outside lowsec. Good luck with that.

We live in 0.0 and make as much as we feel like when it's not :effort: to push a button and make more isk, so...yeah.

Join goons they have skillz and cars are to cool for them, same with wives or girlfriends, everything suxors except them, like me. Since acting like total tools online will never matter, forums are for making others feel bad, not for having a good time. I'm a loser because I'm not cool and I'm not cool cause I'm a loser. I'm actually 15 and I'm saving up for a hyndai I've never had a stinky finger and I've never even pee'd in a girl. My whole life revolves around internet spaceships and I eat cheetos all day long drink the dew and weigh 300 lbs and my manboobs are bigger than your manboobs. My whole life pales in comparison to everyone here. I notice no one else has the balls to say who they are or what they are about, maybe because?....Wait that's right, there are no bitter sexually frustrated 12 year olds here. Everyone is a mature adult who knows how to trade barbs, witticisms and observations about, life, games and the internets. I know that's why I'm sticking around.

Back on topic, that bee song was pretty well made and executed, props to the author.
So whats the deal on that post in coad about some gooncorp basically hiding and that Merch had a greater force in the 319 battle?
