I loved it when he hit the female vocal part.

Edit: Also, "Why?!?!" in Sabotage is the best thing.

I like this guy. He's all sorts of funny.

"I don't have a mic stand, so I'm playing pressed up against my bed."

I can't even imagine how awkward of a position that must be.

After watching the Rock band vs Guitar Hero III video I must admit GHIII's guitar stuff looks significantly more fun to me than RBs.
But then I was planning on playing the drums in RB anyway.

I don't know if it's because I gotten used to GH3, or I just became better after playing so much time, but man the RB songs look kinda well...boring. Especially Cherub Rock.

I guess it doesn't matter anyways, seeing as my system broke down and I won't get it replaced till in about a month or more.

Which leaves me with the decision of whether to still pick up Rock Band or not. As horrible as it sounds, I might pick it up, see how much they're going for ebay, and then decide whether I want to keep it or sell it.

I'm going to guess that Harmonix was quite content with letting the GH franchise corner the 'Loony Toons' note chart market. It helps the 2 games exist in the same space in a way.

Train Kept A Rollin' looks fucking hard.

I'd love to play "Money", but the song might drag on a bit for vocals/bass. The guitar solo is sick, though.

I think it's pretty much a given that Dark Side of the Moon needs to be a downloadable album, but I'm not sure if it will happen because of how many lengthy breaks/sound effects/synth sections there are.

At the very least a Brain Damage/Money/Hey You 3-song pack would be great, though. And fit the game pretty well, I think.

I'd like something from Animals, but the songs are just too long. Dogs is 17 minutes and Pigs is 11. Wish You Were Here would be great, but I'm not sure how well acoustic translates to Rock Band. There's a little drum and bass in there, but not much.

So, I've been avoiding a lot of Rockband info, like some of the more basic gameplay mechanics. How does a person "Come back" after failing a song?

    *EDIT*
Also, I just got here at the end of that last song, so I havent seen enough to figure it out myself.

Someone else activates star power within ten or so seconds of the person failing. It's worth noting that if they don't bring the failed person back in, the whole band fails.

Ahh. So do they still get their starpower multiplier or is the starpower "wasted" on saving that person?

Also, how do the drums activate star power?

They have sections where they can play whatever they want, that end with a single green note that if they choose to hit that, it activates as it goes back into the normal notelist.

Yeah, if you use your overdrive to bring a band member back, you don't get the multiplier.

He needs to get the singing off expert.

    Also, that's kinda dumb.

You kinda wonder if they could have used a dongle like on PS3... but then you realize that the wire isn't really a big deal when the drums and mic are wired.

I think it's even dumber to use BlueTooth for wireless gaming (which is why the dongle on PS3)... but that's another discussion.
