Could someone clarify the Megaman anniversary thing? I was under the impression his anniversary was DECEMBER 17th, not November. Is there an actual event Capcom is doing in the case I'm wrong?
The event is scheduled for 11/18 while his Anniversary would be 12/17. The smash old release date would have placed the event only a few weeks before Smash was released making it a good time for an announcement.
Since I'm bored, I made a moveset for Jack Thompson. Yeah, that's right.
B:Frivolous lawsuit (does no damage whatsoever, causes instant self destruct)
Down B: "YOU KIDS AN' YER VIDYA GAMES" (irritates any character nearby, multiplies their attack damage and knockback)
Side B: Sting Operation (Throws credit card at enemy. If the attack makes contact, the enemy and JT teleport to Best Buy/ Target [random], and they buy Manhunt 2. No matter what age the enemy is, JT will immediately follow up with a super-powerful frivolous lawsuit. In that is self destructs him again. NINE TIMES.)
Up B: Trollin' (Being the doofus he is, JT brings out a Troll's club to try and propel himself upwards. Naturally, however, this will only cause him to immediately plummet to his doom. If he's over ground? He falls through it.)
Grab: Straw Grasp. (Tries to grab the enemy, but gets distracted by the "pretty straws". When he bends down to grab them, the enemy whacks him to oblivion with a common sense bat)
Final Smash: "Vast Conspiracy" (All of the characters in the game are playing Munhunt 2. Suddenley, they turn around to face JT.
THEY ARE HYPNOTISED.
They proceed to beat the everloving crap out of Jacko with baseball bats, crowbars, and [Of course!] chainsaws [You've gotta have chainsaws.]. All of the companies and people that Jack's insulted, attempted to sue, or helped to sell games through increased publicity, will join in.
Of course, none of this is real, and is all inside Jack's head.
He twitches on the floor for one minute before the men in white coats take him away.)

This makes me think it will be Nintendo broadcasting games which they have collected. I wouldn't mind if they did a check mii out kind of thing with this and allowed people to favorite matches, or to view popular ones.
Anyone else feel like that the updates have really gotten lame recently? Not that I don't eat up every morsel of information they reveal, it just doesn't have the same suspense it used to pre-postponement.
There are also some people who simply have a casual interest in the game who don't even know about the updates being on the site. February 10th is going to blow them away (well, if they figure it out -- a lot of friends I've talked to still thought it was coming out in 2 weeks. woops.)

So, for this game, I’ve prepared a new kind of mode. It’s called Spectator, and you’ll find it in the With Anyone menu. If I had to describe it in a word, it’s "watching!"
He says its in the With Anyone menu. Possibly there is the same spectator mode in your friend code menu that allows you to watch matches whose friend code you have.
This Just In: Stage Builder, where you get to design your own freaking levels, is offical tied in the polls with spectator, a mode that is basically "watch your friends play smashbrothers" for people that have no friends. +stickers.

If there is any justice in this world, it will be a Mega Man Monday. With 3 weeks of no character update and his anniversary event this weekend, there's no better time. From what I can tell, the event actually starts at 9am Tokyo time, which was half an hour ago, and lasts 7 hours. If he were announced there I have no idea where we would look to find out. If it's not then, then Dec. 17th is the next likely date, which is the actual date MM1 was released in Japan and Capcom's anniversary site actually has a countdown to then. Still, if they were going to announce him in time for the original release date this would be the last opportunity.

However, it's finding enough common use that eventually they'll probably be considered the same. But for now, it's wrong.
