Caffeine consumption winner = Me

Now that my massive caffeine hangover is going away I am declaring myself the winner for PAX caffeine consumption this year.

14 grams (roughly)

The majority of it was nearly the entire bottle of NoDoz that I took, plus more than a case of bawls, several tins of bawls mints, and a lot of snowbawls shots.

I probably went over that # due to the massive nature of this damn caffeine headache but im being conserative ;)

That's just part of the wonderful prize package!

Empathy, sympathy, pity, admiration and continued attention not included. All prizes come with a standard apathy package. Void where prohibited and in Utah, because nothing good comes from Utah.

The LD50 for orally ingested caffine is 150mg/kg, FYI.

(that means with that dosage 50% of test patients would die)

14 g caffiene * (1000 mg/g) * (1 kg body weight/150 mg caffiene) = Big Red either weighs > 93.3 kg (205 lbs) or managed to roll 50+ on d100 for the save vs. death. I've met Big Red, and I'm betting that he never had to touch the percentile dice.

Incidentally, this gig isn't a drug consumption competition.

    That was Woodstock.

No, I just got really crazy. Espically when I was distrubiting bawls to the staff at night.
I know others that had halucinations in the chair though :P

On the first day of PAX I had 2 tins of Bawls mints, 4 bottles of Bawls (free) and about 10 shots of Snobawls. My Bawls intake went unremembered for the rest of PAX, mostly because I kept refilling my empties with slushie, and lost count. It was a good weekend.

I don't understand you. Why not just eat well, rest well and enjoy your time with lots of actual energy instead of the confusing jittery madness that is caffeine overconsumption? A little goes a long way, people.

damn that Bawls booth, I didn't sleep until I got home on Monday-- I blame them entirely. Towards the end of the con, they were giving away the slushie in whatever container you wanted, I saw one guy get a 2L bottle full of it.

If someone has a heart attack because they consume enormous amounts of caffeine, PAX will likely lose sponsorship, and that means no more free guarana juice.

so yeah, if there isn't free Bawls for future PAXs that I plan to attend, I'm gonna be pissed at the fucker who can't drink it in moderation.

The Bawls wasn't strictly free, it was simply occasionally free and always extraordinarily cheap.
