Geez, could Zu Online have any more stuff crammed into its interface? The default chat window alone has 10 tabs, 10 buttons and 2 text fields. There are 41 hotbar and system slots visible, the map has 7 buttons.... the list goes on. There are these unexplained "stunt double" and "reward" buttons that actually yield free stuff but are just kinda stuck up by the character info for no apparent reason. Plus there are 10 things that look exactly like buttons in the same place, but are just decoration! Every dialog box seems to have buttons leading to dozens of other dialog boxes. There's so much random stuff going on, including a constant stream of unexplained messages right in the middle of the screen... it's crazy.
BUT when the interface isn't in the way, it's a very pretty game.

> turn on light Good start to the day. Pity it's going to be the worst one of your life. The light is now on.
Zu is really confusing, yup. Do you have a pet yet? It gets even more complex then.
Yeah, at some point I got an egg for a pet and hatched it. It doesn't do anything yet except say random things. I haven't looked at how to feed it or level or use it in combat. Honestly I will probably move on to something else, Zu's basic combat doesn't seem too interesting.
The game seems addicted to giving away free exp and items, even if some of it is just a come-on for the cash shop. Getting free stuff is nice! I really shouldn't complain.

Well, I can't wait patiently for anything, so I went ahead and installed Allods Online in Russian. I've only been playing two nights now, but I've already stuck with it longer than I did both WoW and Runes of Magic, and I can't understand a single word :P.
There's a nice little story/instanced-like tutorial opening for each side, the UI is WoW-like with helpful map hints for vendors, quests, etc. Combat is responsive and familiar, and there's this cool feature where, if you're in the middle of casting a spell when your foe dies, you hold on to it (hand aglow) and can fling it at the next target with no casting time, lol. At least I hope that's a feature and not a bug, as I've grown quite attached to it!
I don't know much else as I've only achieved level 5, but I'm really looking forward to this one coming out in English, whereas Runes of Magic never got my interest.
re: AVA - pro gaming and free stuff don't really go together in the first place.
re Allods - good to hear. Hopefully the English version will be treated nicely.
Dungeon Fighter is loads of fun. The interface and towns make it obvious its an MMO, but once you start bashing things, it feels like Double Dragon on the SNES. I'm loving it. I was slightly annoyed by the daily stamina system at first, but after realizing I'll probably never play it long enough to burn through all my stamina, I just ignore it now.
And Valkyrie Sky has reopened? I never got a chance to try that last time. Downloading...
I think it closes down early next week though, so hurry up. At least there were only 2 small stability patches during this week, so the client only needs to patch something like 15MB.
Valkyrie Sky is really fun although busy as shit, played with some random and shit got fuck flying everywhere, looking to see when your skills are gonna be ready in the corner, the precision movement key is a little handy to make very small moves between bullets and it shows your skills in a radius around you.
MetaStorm: Wizard
fuck everything else god wizard is great
Does anyone know if you regenerate stamina while logged out
I didn't like playing as a defender, just didn't like not being able to shoot, although being able to block pretty much all bullets forever was nice, fighting a boss was just sort of a bitch.
But god damn do I love wizard, got whirlwind maxed, blocking bullets like shit mad.
Gonna go wizard and then second class mage for octagon and the homing missile one.
Do you happen to know the rate of regeneration? I logged with 17 stamina cause I tried to idle for some but apparently it stops if your afk or if alt-tabbed, I'm not entirely sure how that works.
Valkyrie Sky has been fun, though there are some parts of it that I'm still trying to figure out, like pets, no idea what they can do, they have an ability tab though.
So would you guys say that Dragonica Online is pretty good as a casual time waster? I'm not playing any pay to play MMOs right now, but have thinking of finding a free game I can just pick up now and again.
I guess I'm just looking for a game that isn't too grindy, or at least doesn't feel that way.
I liked Warrock open beta because without cash shop all the guns were point buy, and the basic weapons were fine against the 3 other variants for each class.
Last time I dropped in it was impossible to kill anyone because of how shit the default weapon is.
I feel that Valkyrie sky is a pretty good pick up and play, worst that happens is having to travel to different locations to shoot stuff. But whenever levels end you can just sell the loot you don't want and your stash is right there to store anything you'd care to save for crafting or identification at a later date, so town running is a non issue.
Although if you find a mighty hankering for the game, the stamina system will slow you down, gotta wait during in-game daytime so you don't lose double stamina to do a mission.
Usually you can get lucky enough to find someone playing an instrument for free or 10 or so bucks every 10 seconds, 50 bucks for 100 stamina isnt terrible. Thats about 6-8 missions during day and each mission will net you way more then that, loot being a variable.
Party up and you'll get tougher more frantic stages but better loot and such in the long run. Given you all don't get gunned down with all the shit on screen so i recommend keeping parties to 2-3 people.

The main thing is that you can collect resources (wood/fabric/rock/metal) with them on the world map, from those small floating rocks you see around. I'm not sure whether they get better at this or other side benefits pop up.
Played some AVA and that game is pretty fun, although I only like Escort on Scorpion because the might map fucking sucks ass, there are openings around most of the RPGs and the other team tends to rush them all the time and lock down most of your RPGs.
Also fucking snipers and hackers. Snipers are bad enough then you got dick mcgee over here shooting through walls.

I do enjoy the class variety, I was just hoping to get to kill something first.
4 types of classes and there are 3 classes in each category is pretty awesome, might try out ranger after some maging.
I'm bren or whatever it is if it matters.

Yeah, you regen stamina when you're logged out.
Been playing as wizard, warrior feels sorta weird to play, too used to playing Touhou.
But god damn do I love wizard, got whirlwind maxed, blocking bullets like shit mad.

This download is flying on Ijji reactor so I guess, so maybe someone wants to play this?
Form up on my position
DDO used to be paid, but is now free and quite polished.
That doesn't have zone pvp or ganking though right?
Not at all, as far as I'm aware.
thats the problem ;[ i loved stranglethorn and stuff, made it a lot more fun.
Also summoner has the worst god damn normal attack ever EVER ALWAYS AND FOREVER
I went to mid ville but I'm just a little bother by those valleys being grayed.
What level are you dac
Don'T mind them, these are higher lvl areas - they will be unlocked once you go through the other areas.
Currently at lvl17 here, wideplains is something like for lvl20 people so I'm a bit too low for it, but whatev.
