I think it should be said that a match, especially on a smaller level, with a high level of Novas dropping would be madness.

More updates of things we already knew. But I love it when they sneak new things into screens. I would now like to see how the soccer ball works.

Isn't the soccer ball from Animal Crossing? Those balls you get to kick around that have no purpose, but can be pretty fun?

And why isn't the thread title "But...you can’t tell that from a screen shot?"

Because people are crazy and they demand crazy things.

Not bad with making these too a double update. The smart bomb looks like it's going to be a fun item, and may not be too overpowered because the explosion expands so slowly. Training mode is kind of disappointing though because it seems nothing has changed, at all. Except now you can have a "Stop" CPU.

So, I have an idea that can be used in the OP, if Josh is so inclined to agree:

Under the Forumer Contribution section, we should have an ideas section, where reasonable and well-presented ideas can be saved for posterity.

They can be anything from Newcomers (See Waluigi below), Items, Stages, Special Modes, even Coin Useage!

I think that a forumer can only have 1 idea each and cannot switch out for a different idea. Each submittal must have a picture for reference, some reasoning as to why it would be in the game, special abilities, things like that.

Remember, only reasonable and well-presented ideas would be accepted. No, "lolo Newcomer: Master Chief" things, or "New Stage: Castle Wolfenstein" type deals.

What do you guys think? Another section hidden under a spoiler will not hurt anyone.

Here is my entry and updated Waluigi concept:

Well, I have been trying to figure out how they are going to set Waluigi's move-set (He has to be in it if Wario is.) and I am beginning to think that they could make a unique Strikers theme for him.

    00C8000000194716.jpg

Side B - Charge Shot: Waluigi kicks his leg up behind him and a soccer ball spawns beneath him. The longer you hold b the harder he kicks that ball. Also, it bounces off things.

Neutral B - Headbutt: Waluigi's basic knockback ability. Can get extra knockback if hit at the peak of the headbutt, also flings thrown objects in a random direction if connected with correctly, otherwise Waluigi gets temp stunned in addition to the item effect.

Up B - Backflip Kick: Waluigi launches himself into the air! Spinning once, he releases a devastating kick upwards! Decent recovery, but above average damage for an Up B.

Down B - Vine Drop: Waluigi throws a patch of vines onto the ground beneath him, if anyone steps in his patch of vines (they vanish within 5 - 6 seconds) they are rendered immobile and cannot block for 2 seconds.

Final Smash - Walluigi: Waluigi erects an enormous wall in front of himself! Enemies caught on the area the wall spring from are sent flying off the stage, while the rest must fight amongst themselves in the blocked-in area for a short amount of time.

Taunts - The Crotch-Chop, The Upside-Down L, Bouncing a Soccer Ball on his Head, Cries "Waaaaaluigi!"

He would be a medium weight character, heavier than the fast guys, but faster than the slowbies.

Hmm, I see what you're suggesting, but I'm not entirely sure that it's a good idea for the opening post, which is supposed to give solid information on the game and what we plan on doing with it. While I'm sure people have great ideas for what could be in Brawl, it's really nothing more than baseless speculation and hope, and could weigh down the posts with things that may not happen and possibly confuse newcomers to the thread.

Plus if we let everybody get a segment (which would be the only fair way to manage it), the OP would get very crowded fast. There's only so much room, we should probably save it for things with more substance.

See, I don't see that happening. I have seen maybe a handful of people who have actually put forth effort to even squeeze any kind of reasoning into their post about why this is going to be in the game or whatever.

Most people either agree with what someone has suggested, or they have been against it.

There haven't been that many ideas floating around, actually.

Also, to make one put some effort into making a submission, we would lose even more people through laziness.

I think it could be managed well, if we added a 3rd post to the OP. (Which I would be willing to design and accept submissions, if needed.)

I can't manage the OP myself (I'm at work when I am online most of the time.) but I could help make the post and have the OP-maker use it.

I will officially start taking good ideas now. Make sure you post it somewhere around the thread and PM it to me if you want to make me happy.

Look, there aren't many viable characters that someone could suggest. Hell, people have already been doing this anyway, since the first thread.

There have been Krystal predictions, Pokemon predictions, Ridley predictions, Meganman, Leon Kennedy, etc...etc.

The whole "man I'd love to see (blank)" in brawl thing has been in every thread already, it is what spurs a good amount of the pages.

I just want to see if anyone wants to actually put some thought into the ideas and save them for bragging rights until the game comes out.

Do you really not think that Stage, item, character, gameplay predictions have been going on this entire time?

Anyway, I don't see how arguing is gonna fix anything here, it is just helping to "dick up" the thread and I really don't want that. I just saw this as a good way to make people do some active thinking and maybe become more interested in the thread as a whole.

I don't see how an extra spoiler will ruin your day.

Of course they've been going on the entire time, I just wouldn't want to see even my own "predictions" enshrined in the first post, I mean shit. No prediction is that good, first post area should be reserved for factual information.

plus that way if a "prediction" turns out to be regoddamntarded, we'll all forget about it next thread.
