We both thought it was awesome, and it screwed Gamestop corporate out of a tiny bit of cash, so... awesome.
Also, now I feel like I kinda got back at Square-Enix for making me pay $5 - $10 more on every game they released for handhelds because they think they're so great.
Except the guy will probably get fired and Square Enix already got their money. They didn't lose anything.

I've done the same tho.
Well at least I no longer feel ripped off by S-E.
Also, nah, he won't be fired.
The manager came out from the back just after, and my friend was like "Uh, hey, dude. Just so you know *shows him the game* I had to sell this to a bitchy customer at that price."
The manager's response was "Ah, well. It happens. It's our fault."
EDIT: Also, looking at the instruction manual, this game looks pretty neat.
Man! That Vaan solo mission in chapter 3 (3-2 I think) is a total bitch! No matter what I did, one of the warriors would cast Berserk and come directly after him. Finally I just got through it by casting Sprint, and forcing my way through past the Viera archers.
Sofar it's not a bad game, and, as one of the people who actually Like Vaan, and think he makes a good hero, I like it as a sequel to XII. Clan Galbana are actually pretty interesting, and would do pretty well in a future third sequel (if one materializes).
Feolthanos Exultant is mean!
So I can kill Lefty, Righty, and Bahumut. This is all easy as pie. But after the dragon dies, Feolthanos Medi goes nuts with the lazer beam, which is pretty much a OHKO on everyone but Filo and Llyud, who seem more or less immune for some reason (but also can't hurt him much).
My first thought was that, okay, I guess I need to shoot him while standing Not On the Platform. This is almost impossible -- it's set up so that I can only get one guy, maybe two if I hit the exact right pixel and micromanage to keep him from wandering off, in range to hit Feolthanos. I used Kytes, which actually worked reasonably well -- it was an absurdly long fight, but I had the bastard down to a sliver of health when Penelo wandered out in front of the Lazar Beam and died; Llyud and Filo followed, and the Wing Wraiths overwhelmed the remnants. I figure I can probably win this way if I stay focused, but I'm wondering if there's a better.
On my next attempt, I'm going to park Penelo to the right of the platform and use Llyud and Filo to launch my assualt on Medi. Penelo will then heal them without needing to wander into danger. This will probably take even longer, but it ought to be more stable.
edit: beat it. First plan was best. Just takes patience, not really too bad.
1: The story. It's ok and kind of brutal but the DIALOGUE! It sounds like they stole the lines from Strawberry Shortcake. "Believe in yourself and anything's possible!" Ugh.
:x
Huurgh, sounds too much like FFTA to me, though the combat seems intriguing.
Only for some of it, you gotta realize, two of your party members are like 10 years old literally.
Some of the dialogue is great, for example all of Balthier's, which I was surprised to see is jokingly sexual (among other things, "I guess the foreplay's over!").
I ended up pawning the game after 7.5. I had been hoping it'd get more involved, with some party variance, much earlier in the game. I enjoyed what I played of it, and I'd certainly take a look at any sequel, but the lack of customization in character, party, and tactics got to me eventually.
