Are there any good ones for Wii, GC, DS, GBA, or PC out there? I really enjoyed Baten Kaitos, but that seems to be unique. I've heard that the Yugioh games for the DS are actually quite good... has anyone played them?
What Yugioh game for PS2 is most like the show? I tried Duelist of the rose and couldn't get into as much as i would have liked. It didn't feel right to me. if there was one that was closer to the shows storyline and "feel" I might be able to give it another shot.

There is a really AWESOME card battle style game for the GC... it's name however, escapes me at the moment. You play a princess trying to rescue her father and retake her kingdom and whenever you get attacked by enemies, the area is kinda walled off and you throw down cards to either attack or defend for you while you run around in real time. I believe it also had a sequel which was good as well.
And I've only played a couple of the Yugioh games on the GBA, and I enjoyed them after I realized how limited some of the combos could be and how very liberal with the rules the TV show is.

Culdcept is one of the reasons I got my xbox 360. The game still isn't out yet, but I cant wait. If you have the xbox or the 360 I would recommend Phantom Dust. You dont have cards you have orbs. It is one of the best action/strategy card battling games out there.
Pokemon Trading Card Game (GB)- Okay, I only bought this because it was clearance. It has the first three pokemon TCG sets- Basic, Jungle, and Fossil. Good if you're really, really bored.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories (PS1)- So good, yet so goddamn ruthless. After you get somewhat far in the game, the computer gets access to all these cards that pretty much pwn you- "...a Gate Guardian with 4500 ATK? ...I hope I get a Raigeki soon..." Yeah. They'll drop it first turn face down, you'll attack it, get slammed, then they'll drop a second massive critter and game over. Not to mention the good cards take a million star chips to buy and you can't win more than five or six in a duel at a time. I wouldn't touch this stinker with a ten-foot pole. It's THAT out of balance.
Stay away from the fullmetal alchemist one on DS. I tried it but didn't care for it at all. I'm also interested in a good card battler on DS. Too bad that capcom one turned out to be such a stinker.
I haven't tried any of the yu gi oh ones on DS yet. Anyone able to suggest which one is the best of them? And will I get to use the microphone to shout It's TIME TO D-D-D-D-DUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Card based strategy RPG for the GBA. Incredibly unique. Incredibly complex. Really great art.
*really awesome screens*
Wow, is that game readily available for cheap? I have some cash handy and it looks fantastic. I've been itching for a card-based game ever since I saw Card-Fighters DS (I still tear up every time I see the box art. Oh the potential...).
and is that by the Riviera dev? I know I was really interested in Riviera at one point, but never got round to getting it.
Yeah, it's by the Riviera guys. As for the GUI, as you can see, the game is a mass of text, symbols, abbreviations and hi-res art. (well, hi-res for the GBA)
I think it's a few years old by now, though, so I doubt you'll find it new, and it's likely to be rare anyway.
I don't really play card playing games at all, but, my friend gave me a DBZ card game for the GBA and I would recomend you toss that sucker into the trash, it totally turned me off of card playing games.
The Megaman Battle Network games for GBA, 4-6 specifically. Very fast actiony games that works on a grid; you collect chips/cards and use them in battle to do damage, various elements and stuff interact, all of that. I find them horribly addictive, but they're about as far away from proper CCGs as you can get while still technically being within the genre. I gather deck selection is pretty important for multi, though.
Oh, and Yggdra Union is worth it, though the game is ass hard. Crimson Armor Scythe Dude can die in fire (except he's immune to fire damage, like most everything).

4-6? Really?
I personally hated 5 and 6, though 4 was alright. By then the formula of the games was sucked dry, and it didn't help that Capcom kept putting annoying and pointless restrictions on your folder. My favorite Battle Network games were definately 2 and 3.
As a rule the Yu-gi-oh DS titles are 100 times better than actually playing.
They have at least 30 cards the US may never get and you get to play with the god cards in most of them. Technically speaking a game that cn get 90% of the complexities of Yugi down pat with not issue is a good one. The story mode bites ass however and stay away from the world Tournament versions because they take all the fun out of it( no story OR awesome Video game only cards).
The PSP has some weird Tag system but I've never looked into it.

Also, lol fetch quests galore.
Haven't played 1-3, so I'm just going with what I know. Liking robots that combine with other robots to form even better robots is something I've yet to grow out of, and 6 has that in spades. I just liked the strategy game component of 5.
phantasy star online episode 3: C.A.R.D for the GC
i thought it was okay for a card game but card games really are not my "thing" but it had a story line and at the time you could of played it online... not sure if you still can
Am I the only person who liked Megaman Chip Challenge? Kinda CCG, but more like programming game. Like Carnage Heart. Loved that game.
btw,
WHY HASN'T ANYONE MENTIONED EYE OF JUDGMENT?
Because technically it's a Video game that requires cards and not a video game about a TCG?
Seriously you can't play the game without a Ps3. Major design flaw IMO.
There are ways around this...
specificly I'm trying to figure them out and manufacture land tiles so that you CAN play the game without a PS3 just so that there's some local business for the game at my comic/game shop.

What's hard? Colored squares with a triangle corner cut out for land, small colored triangles for fieldquake colors, and 10sided dice for monster HP. what else is needed?

Some way to dechiper the completely encoded cards only the Eye can read would be nice. Looking on a sheet of papaer sort of gives away your strategy.
It's a nice concept. If it takes off I can see Sony making it less PS3 dependant in future exspansions

Printing out the rules and then figuring out a way to sell it as a package without getting sued.
The old-school Magic: the Gathering game for PC was really awesome. Awesome because A. it actually had a fun single-player rpgish mode and B. theres no 'i no its on a computer but u haves to pay 4 pretend cardz lol.'
I loved part 1 to bits, I really did. So much so that I spent hours just getting the maximum amount of all my favourite cards, even if they sucked terribly.

Lost Kingdom for GC, I believe.
edit: win!
Good games.
Lost Kingdom, and it's sequel?
Edit: So beat'd
Just buy it. Monopoly + Magic = awesomeness.
edit: That's just weird............... are you me?
EDIT: GET OUT OF MY HEAD.
Also, I had quite some fun with PSO Episode 3: CARD Revolution or whatever it was.
Best Yu-Gi-Oh game? That would be WCE 2007 or Spirit Caller. Both are pretty decent.

Sigh...
I never really liked the campaigns, but I played the fuck out of duel mode.
