360 broke this summer. couldn't send it from august-oct because i was told it would take up to 6 weeks, and at that point i found out a property developer had purchased my apartment block and we were having our leases cancelled. So i didn't want to send it out, and now i have to travel for a month of 12/16, so that's no good either. i'm sick of not hving a 360, and dont want to not be able to play Halo, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed and all that good stuff all thru break.
Incidentally, i managed to get the developers to give me some money to move. Enough for a new 360 and then some. I just want to get a core, and then send in the broken one in january (still covered) and sell the refurb that they send back How much money do I stand to lose in this process?

Why don't you get it mailed to a friend's place instead of your own?

Or even your parents' place for that matter?

my parents live out of the country. if i get it mailed to a friend's place, i still won't be in the country, same thing as waiting till i get back (except 2 weeks less in january but anyway I don't want to take the risk of trusting other people with my possessions anymore, after having lost a guitar amp and computer speakers when my friend who was keeping my stuff in his garage over the summer decided to move. He took most of my stuff he could fit, and told the person I was going to room with to pick up the rest, which he didn't bother doing. Long story short, I don't trust my buddies here much, the people I do trust won't be in town over break.

main reason though is that I basically really want to have it back for christmas break. It would suck to just be cut off that long.

You figure out how much it's going to cost and how much you'll get back.

Ummmm, did the title of this forum mislead you somehow?

Anywho, I would just do a "bundle" deal on ebay afterwards with a few games you no longer want. You'll get rid of the console, plus games you no longer want/ever play. You tend to make more on a console if you bundle it with at least something on ebay.
