Are you guys with teammate problems actually telling them to do things? Because I'm rolling with Ashley and Liara and they're doing a good job. The moment combat is underway I'm in the biotics menu, directing Liara to unleash Throw or Lift on a target. I'll use Overload or Sabotage on another target, or shoot it. Ashley shoots things pretty well on her own. The most times I've had to replay a combat sequence is 5, which was the "famous" battle vs. Armature and hoppers. Typically I can make it through a combat sequence on the first or second attempt. I'm playing on Veteran, as an Infiltrator.
Yeah man my teammates are great. As soon as I run into the enemies I get maybe 1 or 2 shots off before they're all floating in the air helpless while Ashley tears into them with the AR. So glad I bring Liara along.

I've tried. At first I thought they were ignoring me, then I realized the game was making the 'you can't do that right now' noise. Not sure what to tell you.

After playing this and beating it I find it awesome. Mass Effect gets my stamp of approval and I cannot wait for the second one. Luckily Mass Effect is large enough to last me for a good long time.
On a related note, the galaxy map / exploring planets makes me yearn for an updated Star Control game.
Axen on
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
So what's the rule with using medi-gel or whatever? In combat, it'll sometimes grey out even if I still have plenty, meaning I can't use it when I quite clearly should be leaking organs all over the shop. I just want the cooling salve.
The signal on the Citadel that transfers credits from the quasar machines? I looked everywhere but I can't find anything
Also, this game is way too big. WAY too big. It's like someone gave you the most delicious pie ever and askes for seconds and you say "Oh no, thank you" but he shoves another one down your throat and lines up two more for you too eat. It hurts so bad but it feels so good.
Find a Citadel transport thing and go to the Wards Access spot. Then search around there, it's in a little social room.
Just finished Noveria. Veteran is hard but not unfair hard. It's really teaching me how to take advantage of the system. When I do my get everything ever playthrough on easy it'll probably be a complete cakewalk

I love how most of the complaints are explained in the Codex if you'd just listen to it.
Such as: The reason the Mako is so light and loosely controlled is because it has a small element zero core which doesn't make it weightless, but makes it much lighter than would be expected from a vehicle of it's size.

I have been rolling with Ashley and Liara, but Liara is somewhat useless as they just rip through her two shields in under 3 seconds and she's down. At least Ashley can put up a fight for a while with her chemical round AR, but she goes down pretty quickly. And when I'm not worrying about my team, I have to worry about my own shields, which are being drained from every side, even when I'm in cover.
I decided to high-tail it off of Noveria because I thought I was in over my head, I've been to around 3 over planets and now I'm having some fun. I just went to Onmastrom I think, and did the Missing Scientist side quest. By the way, about that one
RIP Toombs. Anyone been able to convince him to not kill the scientist and himself?
Also everyone who's saying the Mako controls horribly must be trying to hover while reversing sideways or something. I love incinerating pirates with the main gun.
So, if I want to have hot space sex, do I have to keep the lady which has my eye on my team? I also want to get teammate achievements, so I need to know in advance
Geth Juggernauts are almost certainly not your friends.
I wish the Codex had detailed renderings of the various Geth models that you could spin around with the thumbsticks, zoom in and out, etc. They're so beautifully designed but you can't get close enough to really see them in detail.
I ordered the LE Strategy Guide + Art Book today. I would buy Mass Effect Underoos if they made them. I am pretty much willing to be financially stupid in order to support this franchise. It needs to go places. There are a hundred zillion sword and sorcery RPGs, RTS, MMO, etc. Yet there are so few in the realm of sci-fi/cyberpunk.
1) Has anyone else mentioned the playtime bug? I'm right at the beginning, okay? So I go to C-Sec headquarters and save. My save is 2:11:XX (two hours, eleven minutes, some number of seconds I cannot recall). I then load this save. I then save it a few minutes later. Curiously, the played time is 1:53:XX. Odd, huh? So I reload the 2:11 save and save immediately into a third slot. 1:46. Weird. Then I check and my autosave is at 1:46. So, even though I'm loading a save from 15 minutes later, the play time is being read from the autosave. And yes, I'm 100% sure I'm loading the right saves to check all this. I did it twice to make sure.
The top numbers are how much time you've put into the game.
The bottom numbers are what time of the day you saved the gave.
I am well aware of this.
The timestamps are accurate. The accrued playtime is as I said above: incorrect. When I load my 2 hours and 11 minutes of playtime save and then save immediately the new save file registers as 1 hour and 47 minutes of playtime.
This is not a matter of me mistaking the two timestamps. I am referring to the top numbers only.
I think I am about to have sex with an alien. omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg
Mass Effect, for when simulated alien sex requires the mentality and intelligence of a depraved teenager.
you've made your opinion known, now you are just trolling.
Now? Vicious_GSR is a dumb, Sony-fanboy cunt that should be punted from Earth.
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt
but yeah, it's getting annoying
expressing your opinion is one thing
trolling everyone who likes the game is completely another
I wrote him off long ago, when he was trying to argue that HD-DVD was an immoral technology or some shit because it forces developers like him to develop for the lowest common denominator.
I just became a spectre, so don't give me any spoilers, or anything, but is his Vrolix (sp?) syndrome just an excuse for why you never see him out of his chair?

I thought it was an homage to Miles Vorkosigan from the series of books by Lois McMaster Bujold.

I doubt it's an excuse.
I don't think he meant that it was a personal excuse, but an excuse by developers to never give him a role outside his chair.
I mean I would have much rather had Joker as the sentinel instead of Kaiden.

There is so much potential, I can't wait to see what Bioware does with it.

Playing as Female = Sex with Kaidan or Liara
I don't think so, but I wish you could. Something about the full body suit makes her mysterious

personality wise?
Cause if not, that's because he is Seth Green.
