A few weeks back, I was bit on the thigh by a spider while I was sleeping. Nothing poisonous, just a typical house spider. Left a nice purple bite mark.
Now, a couple days passed, and the mark didn't go away. Or fade, at all. It was like the little bugger was coming back every night to bite me in the same place.
Here I am, probably two or 3 weeks after, and it's still there. I'm not numb, flesh aint sloughing off, and it isn't getting bigger or smaller. It's just there. What gives? Am I going to die?
As with any bodily abnormality that persists for more than 2 weeks I would highly advise that you see a doctor. Without actually knowing what bit you or being able to see the wound itself it is very difficult to give any other advice.
As long as it is not progressing you don't have much to worry about, at least as far as allergic reactions or infections go. I'd still go see a doctor simply because having a long-term abnormality anywhere on my body would be annoying, but I think it would be a reasonable guess that no, you are not going to die.

That'd be a jolly good prank.
